Sheppard Smith's program is more like tabloid tv. Maury Povich was more convincing back in the 80's with A Current Affair than Shep is.

One wouldn't agree with that now, as he has become a poor imitation of Jerry Springer. He probably holds the Guiness book of records for most shows consecutively about maternity results. What is it up to now, 3 consecutive years?

I’m not crazy about Ann Coulter, although lately I like her a lot. I have to say, in this instance, the comment she made about Edwards, was a take off of Bill Maher’s comment about Cheney. Even I got that and it usually takes me a few times to *get* stuff.

I’m interested in this because tonight, a promo for one of the morning shows, maybe GMA, was about Elizabeth Edwards and her reponse to Ann Coulter (it’s supposed to be on tomorrow, I don’t watch these shows so I’m not sure). Anyway, the promo from our local station was all about Mrs. Edwards replying to Ann’s horrendous comment about wishing her husband was murdered by terrorists. My husband and one daughter were in the room and I said, NOPE, that’s not what happened, as usual the MSM is taking it out of context. My husband said what she said was downright wrong and teen agreed, then I explained what happened and both were “really?” - so I explained.

Most people, me included, aren’t really informed as well as we should be and if we watch MSM only, we’re only getting a really slanted version of every issue. I’m fortunate that I found this site, at least I get links to real or actual stuff so I can decide for myself.

I’m educated, smart, blah blah blah but this site has opened my eyes and given me info I’d never be aware of if I relied on the “News” programs. I was seriously questioning my education, knowledge of history/current events, etc. I’m not saying this site or all the posts are accurate or right but it gives all the sides and the side that isn’t promoted in MSM.

I never liked Smith, he is very Geraldo-ish and should be gone from Fox as well as Geraldo. What those two are became evident even to the blind, during Katrina, some real DramaQueens, those two. Replace Shep, preferably with Laurie Dhue, no desk, just a chair and Laurie and the news.

Will he be challenged on his lie at the network? It would be pretty pathetic if FOX decided to leave it up to Coulter to challenge this as if it’s a matter for debate. I hope Ann doesn’t comment on the matter until it becomes clear where FOX stands on this sort of thing.
