Easier said than done. The 14th amendment to the constitution would have to be repealed:
"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."

As of 2005, just over 80 miles of federally enforced barriers and fencing were at strategic points on the border, mainly in Texas and California. This seems to refer to the few miles of existing fence. The law signed in Oct 2006 called for an additional 700~854 miles of new fencing. From what I've read, only 2~11 miles of that fence has been completed. It looks like they're a little bit tardy building the fence....and yet they have the nerve to try and pass this bill.

Speak for yourself. Is this Ron or Pat? This administration is far from a disgrace. You, on the other hand, are questionable in your logic. You know, I went back to check and it turns out that the post has my name attached to it.
It appears to me that I indeed was speaking for myself. I looked several times and not once did I find your name attached to my post.
I hope this clears that up for you. I'm unfamiliar with the field of logic that leads you to think my post was speaking for you, but I do have a copy of Copi's Logic here and perhaps you can give me the topic and I'll study up.
Now that you have perceptively brought the problem to my attention, I'd like to make sure that when I do post something the rest of FR isn't saying "Boy, that Yankee Dutch really tells it like it is."You'll just have to make your own posts and cease taking credit for mine.

"Grow up."Actually, I'm quite grown up. And as a matter of fact, I once swore an oath to defend and uphold the Constitution, just like your President did. But I didn't forget it, or sell it out for some other "higher" cause.
You might want to read the Constitution from time to time. (Unless that is, you also answer to a "higher calling," that you can't openly admit here on FR.)
But trust me, milllions and millions of us DO remember our sworn oaths, and we shall also remember our leaders who swore the oath, and then used the Constitution to wipe their backsides.

Unless the Whitehouse gets a clue, 2008 is going to be a electoral bloodletting. The "Lesser Evil" campaign isn't going to save the GOP this time. Did you learn nothing from 2006? Amen. If we're to believe the lastest Rasmussen poll, democrats will also feel the wrath of voters as 80% of all US citizens oppose this bill and want our borders secure as was promised last year! Time for all those who turn a deaf ear on the cries of their constituents to be booted out to make room for those who will uphold the law and serve those who elected them.
