Can you read in context? I was talking about stock prices and people buying after hours. Nothing to do about people being laid off.
Who from the West is doing well in China? (C-Net May 31, 2007)
The thread is about layoffs and jobs moving to Asia, which you seem to be supporting. High tech jobs, not “jobs Americans don’t want” or need. They should go apply at Wally World, and stock those shelves with Chinese goods for us, including Dell computers now huh.
This thread is about Dell in general. It talked about profits and sales, not just layoffs. To take what I said out of context like you did is obscene.
So you have tunnel vision that’s focused on the stock market, and as long as it’s going up these sellouts to foreign countries are what you think is driving it? Since you’ve closed up like a turtle now all I can do is wonder what your motive is.
China and India take the first real step towards forming NATO like Asian Military Alliance
Who's to blame for the sellout? Foreign firms buying up America's infrastructure
You like to read things that just aren’t there. I made a simple matter of fact statement about what went on with the stock prices. Then got into a discussion about after hours prices and how meaningless they were. You took a quote from that discussion and completely misconstrued it into something totally different. Now you are rambling on about ‘closed up like a turtle’. I am not even sure what you are trying to imply, nor do I care. You are a loon.
I’m no loon, just going on appearances here. Another US company announces layoffs (IBM is laying off an equivalent amount this quarter as well) and you quicly indicated the stock price briefly went up and left the impression you thought it was an overall positive. What if it’s not? Didn’t the stock market go up prior to every crash, yes of course it did. Loony would be more thinking the stock market is the perfect measure of all things being well. Even if the Chinese eventually bought the whole damn thing. Might go up then too, things usually do when they’re bought out huh.
That still doesn’t explain how you took a statement from me which was obviously in a different context and tried to imply I was talking about something else.
Yeah, I just checked, IBM’s stock went up on Tuesday and Wednesday when they announced their additional layoffs in the US for this quarter. I guess you’re right even though thousands of US families are losing their #1 breadwinner, and these high tech positions are possibly lost to the US forever, somebody somewhere did make a few nickels on it.
C’mon. That was back when the engineering staff did phone shifts. You can’t pay good, highly technical people to sit on the phones anymore.
OMG, not VISTA! That’s awful! Or stupid.
The D630/D830 mobiles are Santa Rosa-based, I believe.
I never had a K6 burn up, but the FPU performance was horrible. AMD boxes back then made horrible gaming rigs.
