The world sits idly by as the events that preceded WWII repeat themselves, sit idly despite the fact that the current despots have avowed much the same goals as the previous tyrants.

But the move has fuelled accusations that Mr Chavez is moving towards an increasing authoritarian rule and quashing any dissent against his so-called “socialist revolution”.

I would say they are well past the "accusations" stage.

I can’t wait to see Michael Moore’s documentary about Venezuelan t.v. being better than U.S. t.v. — wait a second, maybe it is.

Ahmadinejad/Chavez 2007 = Hitler/Mussolini 1937

They even look and behave the same.

Chavez is hurling Venezuela toward despotic communism while Danny Glover tours the country singing his praises in exchange for the $20 million Chavez gave him to finance 2 films about communist heroes. AARP Person of the Year, Harry Bellafonte, provides his support for Chavez as AARP features articles on Jane Fonda, Susan Sarandon, Alec Baldwin, etc. Meanwhile, Chavez is bosom buddies with Castro, as Michael Moore takes illegal trips to Cuba to film a “documentary” on how much better their medical care is than the USA’s. And why is it that we spend massive volumes of money worshipping these traitors and funding their insurgent activities?

RCTV Venezuela Final Transmission (2:06)

The final moments of broadcast show the entire staff of the network singing a tearful rendition of the national anthem, with its stirring hymn of "respect for the law, valor, and honor". Then the signal fades, the screen goes black, and the logo of the news State television network comes up: a graphical representation of a television screen composed of vertical color bars, with the traditional colors of Venezuela fading slowly into the red of the new socialist regime.

Come on people of Venezuela!

Yes, PRAY and SING and keep fighting.<

Oh so sad for this nation and so bad for America and the world that this tinpot dictator keeps spreading his malignant tyranny through his country, and, he hopes, through all the world.

When will we/anyone stop him? When the missiles start flying here from Iran?

Of course should the Demonrats take the Presidency, El Hugo Stalin will just come over freely and do whatever he pleases here with his destroyer mentality....because he will fit right in with those running this country.

And, that POS, lying dirtbag, waste of "human" flesh, Jimmy Carter, loves Comrade Fuhrer Hugo Chavez.

May Chavez, Ahmedinejad and Carter rot slowly and painfully in Hell for all eternity.

Fox is covering it, between other things. I watched a bit of CNN and they didn't seem to have it yet. The rest are don't really report news. The times has this link of a peaceful protest yesterday AM

What’s with these countries? They are owned by a small number of families. Come the revolution are they are replaced by another small number of families. But I guess, historically, that is the norm.
