Robert Bailey, 17, is caught up in several of the Jena incidents, as both a victim and alleged perpetrator. He was the black student who was beaten at the party, and he was among the students accused of grabbing the shotgun from the man at the convenience store. And he's one of the six students charged with attempted murder for the Dec. 4 attack.
Six guys jump one guy at school, knocking him unconscious and then kicking him in the head as he lay helpless, sending him to the hospital. Mr. Bailey is one of the six. Consider for yourself the author's use of the phrase "caught up in" to describe Mr. Bailey's willful participation in this felony. What does the author want you to think about Mr. Bailey and his actions?
Now go and re-read the entire article using this sort of simple, honest analysis of the author's agenda. What do you find?
This reply is stupid and childish.
Therefore, each of the kids that put up the noose or pulled a gun or attacked someone should be at the very least expelled from school or sent to Angola.
Why don’t you move along and come back when you have concrete points to prove what you hypothesised? The article is cooked up, you say? Tell me how so.
Okay, yes. The author could have twisted real incidents. I was sick and disgusted by the incidents, not what the author had to say. Just the fact that these things happened, by both sides, is enough to sicken. That was what I was trying to clarify. I don’t give a d@mn about how the author meandered the real story... most times I just scan articles to see what happened, and where. As long as you can’t refute the incidents themselves, your argument is weak.
If you think that a kid who puts a noose in a tree should be sent to Angola then you are a complete and utter retard.
You are letting your sanctimony overwhelm your reason. You think you are behaving righteously but the truth is the exact opposite of this.
The critics note, for example, that the white youth who beat the black student at the party was charged only with simple battery, while the white man who pulled the shotgun at the convenience store wasn't charged with any crime at all. But the three black youths in that incident were arrested and accused of aggravated battery and theft after they wrestled the weapon from the man - in self-defense, they said.
So three ropes in a tree justifies attempted murder? Sounds like the one black kid is the source of most of the trouble. They should deal with him directly.
You are claiming that the article is untrue, and others are asking you for proof. That’s not a straw man argument.
Do you even think they should have been expelled?
Or should they have simply been given an A for their History Class project giving tribute to the Old South?
Sounds like the one black kid is the source of most of the trouble. They should deal with him directly.
Which one? The one who sat under the traditionally whites-only tree?
The author is a “Yankee Agitator.” /sarcasm
If the races were reversed in the Tn incident, the media and the cops would trying to be making it a racial incident - kind of like here.
Historically, many people have been hanged - not always for racial reasons either. Yes, it is creepy to come out and find nooses hanging from a tree I’ll give you that. I’d even consider it threatening and hostile. But trying to make it a hate crime is really a stretch imo.
I agree with you that your posts are shallow and worthless. What you fail to realize is that they are also wrongheaded and stupid.
(By the way, the word "meandered" means nothing like what you think it means.)
Amen to that.
Wait, is that “hate speech”? :D
Thank you for the, ahem, lessons. Now take your medications.
Lol!
Because it describes all of the incidents from the perspective of the unidentified "critics" without providing the opposite perspective. That is pretty obvious. I just don't think you are very good at this.
If you were more intelligent you would understand how damaging to American such smuggery is.
If you were capable of saying something intelligent, you would not have said this.
