No, I don't think he has climbed that high. The only tier below McCain is firmly held by Ron Paul. Naw, even a Ron Paul presidency would at least pull the plug on the U.N. McStain has even less to offer as a candidate...

How many bills did Romney or any other candidate other than Fred introduce into the Senate concerning CFR and the theft of my 1A rights? How many bills did Romney or any other candidate other than Fred vote for, co-sponsor, or sign into law?
None.
DO try again.

Romney supported the abolition of PACs, spending limits, donation limits, and even the taxing of contributions to publicly fund campaigns. When he attacks anyone because of CFR, he’s a total hypocrite. Live with it.

ooooooo....I’ve got a stalker....
How about when Romney or anyone else other than Fred who attacks McCain-Feingold for the bang-up job it did in getting money out of politics....and for stealing 1A rights in the process?
Nope....he said something some time in the past that is exactly the same if not worse than things others actually DID....right?
Romney said something in the past. McCain DID something. Fred DID something.
Live with it...

Fred ping. McNutbar lays into Fred as well in his rant.

In response to the same question from the Sun (namely: What message do you have for your GOP opponents trying to use immigration as a weapon against you?), Mr. McCain also had a few other things to say: On Fred Thompson's attacks on the immigration compromise, Mr. McCain said: "He had a different position not that long ago." But, as he's not in the race yet, Mr. McCain said, maybe "Fred" will have time to sort that all out.
If you read the whole article it appears Mitt is not the only one McCain wants to spar with. Looks like McCain is striking out at both Mitt AND Fred. Since his position is indefensible, he's chosen to use DU tactics, personal attacks and innuendo against his toughest competition. McCain once a war hero, now a petty, old man whose time has passed.
To: Saundra Duffy
Here's what I don't get. McCain ahs to know that even before he started to lead the fight for this fiacos of an immigration bill, he was facing an uphill fight. Now, since he's come out in favor of it, and indeed is leading the battle to ram it through the senate, he has almoist NO, NADA, ZERO, ZILCH chance of getting the GOP nomination. So why the desire to so publicly commit political suicide??
One possible answer?..A 3rd party bid, either with self-financing Bloomberg as his running mate, or with McCain as Bloomy's VP?..

"So why the desire to so publicly commit political suicide??" Nah, it's just because McCain just isn't that bright. In 2000, his consultants told him that he could win primaries by running against the base. Anyone who believes that ain't smart enough to put his pants on in the morning.
In 2007, he thinks that posing on TV with Ted Kennedy will get him the nomination.
The real question is: Who's putting McCain's pants on in the morning?

A stalker? You’re showing some paranoid tendencies.
And, your McCain-Thompson jibes are not that effective. I’m in neither camp. ;-)

Keep calling his office. When he calls us yahoos we win.I'm holding out for him to call us "agents of intolerance".
But I'll settle for him screaming "who took my strawberries"

I don't expect him to be in the field that much longer.

How about you post it one more time, Stalker?
Hint: some of us actually work in places where we cannot see video.....but it wouldn't make M-F any less of a steal my 1A rights POS that had nothing to do with Romney or any other candidate but Mc-Cain and Fred.

McCain is not viable anymore. He needs to fix McCain-Feingold before he creates another montrosity with McCain-Kennedy.
It’s down to Mitt, Fred, Newt, or a 2nd tier candidate.
To: nowandlater
I really think that this will come down to Fred vs. Mitt.
