Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

>>Well, you have to vote for somebody. With HRC you get abortion — plus all the rest.

I guess you are saying you would let Hillary Clinton win before you would vote for someone who has a pro-abortion record.<<

Its too bloody early to give up on getting a quality conservative nominee. The first vote of the first primary has yet to be cast.

Presidential front runners have a way of fading. The first election I followed closely was 1976. I don’t think Jimmy Carter was even polling at this point while the Republicans were locked into Ford out of loyalty despite some very non-Republican ideas like wage and price controls.

The Democrats saw their front runners were shallow and found in Carter a liberal who could sell himself as a Southern conservative Democrat who promised to cut taxes and balance the budget while saying all the right things about race.

The Republicans missed their chance when a true conservative came along. They passed on Reagan, got stuck with Ford and lost to Carter.

The rest is history.

What is it with all these “manchurian freepers”? I seems like one by one they get a call from the Red Queen who tells them to pass the time by playing a little solitaire... then the orders to self-destruct.

I came to your aid too and frankly after reading the last couple pages of this thread, I’m sorry I did.

I stand by my assessment of you as an FR poster prior to what I’ve read here. But for the love of God, take your meds, go for a walk, or go to sleep or something. Whatever the heck you’re trying to do here isn’t working!

Some, or most, would argue that George W. Bush has been the most divisive president ever. So who cares and what’s your point? If you only get your news here, then it does appear as though he is divisive. But it does not need to be that way. It is what you wish to make it.

Some true soul searching going on for sure. Some still want to try and negotiate their principles. I’m watching the struggle with many posts. A healthy re-evaluation of what they’re willing to give up. Sadly some are still willing to give everything up.

I don’t know what dynochrome has to do with this and just remember that me and EveningStar are just the messenger for a pop culture cartoon. If you have any issues, please take it up with the show’s creators. We simply get a chuckle out of watching the show.......................

Hooded Figure: No! Keep your army marching, my Lord. I will get that feeding tube put back in. [turns and walks off]
Satan: How?
Hooded Figure: I will do what we always do: Use the Republicans.
[The White House, a press conference on the lawn. People carry signs saying “Kenny Is Alive” “Murder Is Not A Choice” and “Don’t Kill Kenny”]
George Bush: We Republicans are deeply saddened by the tragic events in Colorado. [the crowd cheers]
Hooded Figure: [appears and whispers into Bush’s right ear] Removing the feeding tube is murder, hughughughughughugh...
George Bush: Removing the feeding tube is murder!
Hooded Figure: [whispers into Bush’s left ear] Who are we to decide if Kenny should live or die?
George Bush: Who are we to decide if Kenny should live or die?
Hooded Figure: Who are we to decide if Kenny should live or die?

Hooded Figure: It is God’s will that he live!
George Bush: It is God’s will that he LIVE! [the hooded figure hisses into Bush’s left ear] Haaghaghaghaghaghagha...
Hooded Figure: No no, you don’t say that part. [hisses into Bush’s right ear]
George Bush: No no, you don’t say that part, haghaghaghagha. [the crowd looks at him in stunned silence]

Trust me when I tell you that the show’s creators, Parker and Stone, hate liberals even more than everyone here. The point of this IMHO was that God wanted somebody’s soul in Heaven for a reason and it was humans who kept them alive despite God’s wishes.

Please just take it for what it’s worth. It’s a comedy show. I really have no interest in arguing about it until 3 AM. But in an 8,000 post long thread I thought we could all use a little levity to break the monotony.

“Nope, he should see the thread for the simple reason that it is quite divisive. I’m just wondering if he’d like to see it. Especially posts that talk about swiftboating of the leading candidate.”

This thread has nothing to do with Duncan Hunter and I doubt that he would have any interest in it, or comment about it.

If you have a problem with Rooty getting Swiftboated you should take that up with Jim.
