I know, I was surprised by that. But for a newbie, he was pretty veteran-like, Im betting he was a banned person sneaking back in. I dont remember seeing him say anything untoward, or seeing the moderators say anything, but he is banned. I too suspect that he was a retread. Don't know who he was, but management has NO tolerance for retreads. None.

Ill reserve and preserve my right to fight against any abortionist gun grabbing liberal that gets elected to the White House from either party. Thank you very much.No one is denying you that right. Certainly not I.

I will do what I want to do. Its that whole freedom and liberty thingy.... Which will cease to exist if Rudy cons his way into the WH.
To: laurenmarlowe
No need to ask him. He’s already stated the truth. And he says if we don’t like it, don’t vote for him. Thanks. We won’t.

The road to the nomination is an ugly one, but I am not a party to it -— I am content to wait until the first of the candidate debates to select my favorite and at this point I do not have a favorite “announced” candidate.
I am, however, hoping and humbly praying for Fred Thompson to enter the race for the GOP nomination.
I much prefer to be FOR a candidate than against his rivals, since one will eventually emerge the winner and that man will get my vote in the general election.

If Rudy toes the conservative line, hell win in the General Election. If he goes Rockefeller Republican, hell lose. Why do you insist upon ignoring his ENTIRE political career?! What he says NOW is meaningless when compared to his flaming liberal history as Mayor of NYC.

It’s important to remember he was scraping the bottom and in december of 2003 had started loaning money to his campaign.
This is why citing all the polls showing rudy leading the pack or hillary leading the pack or rudy beating hillary are rather ridiculous at this point in time. Those aren’t the numbers that matter now.

I don’t care about Badnarik. He’s not an elected official. You said Paul was pro-homosexual rights and he’s not.

But, evidently, hyperbole will still exist?

the problem is going to come, when Thompson is fully vetted on the abortion and gay issue. President Thompson isn’t going to be able to do a thing about gay civil unions in the states, and when he is forced to give full and complete answers (as opposed to the “hot button” answer “I’m against gay marriage”) on the topic, it will become clear. On abortion, Thompson is pro-life. OK, so let’s say Roe goes (on constitutional grounds) in a Thompson presidency - what’s the pro-life movement going to do when no more then 2 states vote to outlaw abortion for adult women in the first trimester? Is Thompson for a constitutional amendment banning all abortion, which is the next logical, legal, conservative step in the pro-life advance? I doubt he will take that position.

Well, winning an argument by silencing your opponent is not very classy. This is a circular firing squad and it breaks Reagans 11th commandment. Its sad. What is sad is to support someone that advocates breaking most the other 10 commandments.

Should it be "free" to support particular candidates like Obama or Hillary? Then why should it be "free" to support any other damned liberal? Like Giuliani. BUT HE HAS AN 'R' NEXT TO HIS NAME!
I'm convinced if Obama switched to republican and doublespoke some conservative values thing, there would be a crowd here screaming "HE CAN BEAT HILLARY!"

I have faith in the American people. This idea that we have to filter out candidates before the first debate is ever held is absurd.

I ain't interested in your interpretation. If you can't source that in it's full context, then stop bothering me with this issue."I'm not ready to go there yet."
Conceding that McCain-Feingold hasn't worked as intended, and is being riddled with new loopholes, he [Fred Thompson] throws his hands open in exasperation."I'm not prepared to go there yet, but I wonder if we shouldn't just take off the limits and have full disclosure with harsh penalties for not reporting everything on the Internet immediately."
