Is that why I have not heard from my Mom in 2o years????

Kidding, though I put her thru pure hell.

But then too, her menopuse (sp?) almost killed all of us siblings also. Wow, that was tough.

“And I think that you are being dishonest when you say that you would not demand that those responsible for a terrorist attack like that on our military barracks today be brought to justice by any means necessary.”

I’m not being dishonest, I almost reenlisted because of Reagan, instead I joined an Airborne Ranger National Guard unit just months before that attack, the mission of my unit was purely to operate against the Soviet Union on their side of the border in Europe.

The strategic implications of that terrorist attack was of great interest to my unit, and as angry and as vengeful as guys like us could be, we had faith in Reagan’s view of the bigger picture, and most of us did not feel about dis railing Reagan’s strategic goals the way you do.

As for Clinton in Somalia, again as a conservative you should already know all the responses I could give you on that, but you don’t do you?

The battle was a hard earned American victory that Clinton flushed away.

Clinton, Carter, Giuliani, and Reagan, it is a little tough to watch you trying to make this sandwich, but Reagan isn’t going on that plate.

My mom’s was too. Mine coincided with son going crazy, so I went on welbutrin for awhile.

Too busy being a distraught parent to be able to indulge in the traditional family pattern of falling apart at that time of life.

byzantine

(sometimes lowercase) characterized by elaborate scheming and intrigue, esp. for the gaining of political power or favor: Byzantine methods for holding on to his chairmanship.

The 3 sewing machines are key
I have three as well, but I can’t wait for the day I have a long arm.
Quilting is an illness, but it keeps me sane with 3 teenagers!

I wish I had a long arm one too, but don’t.

I need to start sewing and stop buying stuff to sew with!

I’m not disingenuous at all.

Please accept my apology. I read some of your past posts, and realise I am wrong. I apologize again.

Husband got to retire at 55. It was so nice to kiss my alarm clock goodbye (well, actually, I just don’t set it any more.) No more 5 AM wake ups so I can be awake to get everybody up and moving...No more teenagers to try to drag out of bed. No more making lunches.

That’s been the best part of it. Now I can stay up to midnight and sleep to 7...(about the time my legs say get up or I will make you regret it forever)

Nice word!!

Rolls off the tongue.

What does that mean? Is it an informal for "applause"?
