Your thoughts?
If you think it will help I'll make some phone calls on behalf of your family in the morning. If you think emails are appropriate I'll send those as well.
Have you tried the letter to the editor route?
Have you tried contacting your State Rep and State Senator in this matter?
You might want to throw a couple of calls or letters their way if you haven't.
Let me know what I can do to be of assistance my friend.
I'll quite happily do what I can.

Thank You and feel free to call write and whatever you wish to do
This is Katie’s mother, and I just wanted to take the time to thank each and everyone in our fight to get Katie back. Anything that anyone can do is always helpful
Just to give everyone an update, keep the phone call coming, it is starting to get to the caseworker she is now starting to complain, oh well, thanks everyone, and please don’t forget the emails.

We have faxed the elected officials, so we will see what falls out of those trees. The DHS caseworker is whining about having her cell phone and voice mail jammed, too bad. Let’s keep it up.

The latest news is that the caseworker is moving to terminate my daughter’s rights. Seems they, DHS, had a meeting on Monday without telling our lawyer and made this decision. They are playing Solomon by making her pick between children as the 8 yr.old has developed two masses in her brain and we won’t get the details until Wednesday. We are at our wits end. We have a conference with the lawyer today, but God knows where this is going to get us.
The caseworker is moving to terminate my daughters rights. We need everyone’s help on this. THe hearing is May 21.

I have a friend who’s a GAL here in Illinois.
She almost got fired because she stood up for the families.
The one case she supported children being taken away the judge disagreed and one of the children was killed.
Her anger is that the fake cases being pursued and how many are overlooked.
And she thinks severe penalties and fines for those who report incorrectly.
I sent my emails......
I have a friend on another forum who is a foster parent fighting the opposite fight. The child’s mom is pregnant again, using drugs, and DHS wants to send the child back to her.
::Shakes head sadly::
Prayers for you and yours.
Everyone if you have kids have every single thing the doctor says to do documented. Have them have it typed and printed.
And ask for a report when you are still at the hospital or doctor’s office.
It serves a dual purpose. A. Makes sure you got instructions right usually when your kid is in the hospital it’s high stress and things might be missed.
B. Protects you.

I am talking with my friend who is a GAL in Illinois. She doesn’t know anyone in Oklahoma and has called around to see if anyone she knows does but no luck.
ASk for a GAL today if you haven’t.
And if the judges have refused to read evidence ask for judge to be changed.
And ask for a new caseworker since she obviously has a personal problem with your daughter.
My prayers are with you all.
Thank you for the info, but maybe I am just not thinking but what is a GAL? There is no other judge in the county and all the caseworkers are of the same mindset.
There should also be very high penalties for social workers who lie about keeping up with their cases. There have been several incidents here where a child was returned to or remained in an abusive home and the child was killed. Too often no monitoring was ever done after the initial investigation.
Oh I’m sorry a Guardian At Litem. It’s an impartial third party for cases like this.
