Well, that’s what Americans want, until the MSM destroys the credibility of, and causes havoc for any policies made by such a leader that disagree with the MSM’s perception of how this country should be governed...
At which point, the strong and decisive leader will be made to look like a lame duck President whose decisions lead to disaster, and who is either a bumbling idiot or an evil genius, or perhaps both at the same time.
This time they won’t succeed:

In other words, the American public soundly re-elected President Bush, and would like another just like him.
As for the others who really mean “elect a perfect according to my own standards” POTUS, the numbers here would be about the same as they would be at DU.
If that sounds cynical... How would it be if we got the Brits to try a repeat of their effort in the 1812 war?
I guess this means they want Bush to arrest Pelosi for sedition.
And yet, when they get one that fits this list, they turn on him like rabid wolves, and elect morons to office who tie his hands.
Wake up America and support the Leader you claim to ‘want’ He’s the one you’ve already got!
we haven’t had an honest and decisive president since JFK in his later years. JFK wasn’t in the beginning until he got a handle on the Military Industrial Complex. Then for whatever reason, he changed even against his family’s criminal involvement. The only one before him was Lincoln. True story.
I heartily disagree. President Bush did what he knew was right despite opposition from the corrupt UN. If that doesn’t take strength and decisiveness I don’t know what does—to form the largest coalition outside of the UN to do the right thing.
DDE?
Watch out for those black helicopters! What are you talking about?
I think he forgot what website he was on. Either he will show back up or just drift back to Kos or DU.
What ever the person embodies, Americans will vote in droves for a Democrat for President. By 2012 they will be fed up with that, and will vote in droves for the Republican. Then, four or eight more years of that, fed up with it, they will vote in a Democrat. This is the nature of the American people.
I disagree, and I actually do something about it. I volunteer much of my time to campaign for GOP candidates. I donate too, but I actually get out there and pound the pavement and call people.
What do you do to make sure people vote GOP?
Bush needs to just change his name and he’ll be re-elected...
Not much these days, unless the GOP candidate really merits my vote, and support. There are some out there. There are also some who I would not waste my own precious time on, for they represent to considerable alternative to the Democrat.
In other words, you bitch and moan. That’s what it looks like to me.
Well I’d say our current President exhibits all the traits of the top 3 responses, and then some.
Careful what you wish for, because you just might already have it.
