I would be happy to create some color logos and graphics for any of you who would like some great looking protest posters.
A lot of HP inkjet printers have a “Posterize” option that will tile output.
Thank you!
I didn’t realize that. Can they save output into files which you can share with others easily, like PDFs?
Oops! Post again:
Activism/Chapters: Activism, protests, news and business of Free Republic Chapters.
For Pete's sake, this is getting ridiculous - This thread belongs in Activism. Silly has posted a thread about some free poster software which will be helpful to Freepers who actually get out in the street and do stuff!
Can you please put this thread back into the Activism/Chapters sidebar?
Doing market research on bumper sticker ideas counts as activism, but poster-making software and my thread about a missing DC Chapter MOAB ("chapter news and business") doesn't?!
Did I fall through the looking glass or something?
Pretty slick - both times :)
Looks good and easy to do. Just add duct tape :-)
Thanks, T.
SM: I agree; this is extremely useful info for FReeps. I hope you can see the value of keeping it in the Activism sidebar.
Thanks a lot,
Silly
Useful for sure.
Thanks Silly for the info:)
These are both very much activism related. I'm asking that they be restored to activism.
That’s not too far off... I used wide clear tape when I did mine, then mounted the whole thing on stiff cardboard. Worked great. Using razor blades to trim the pages is also useful (I just folded mine). You can decide whether or not to have an overlap between pages, and you can decide how large that overlap is and where it lies.
Remember “the Lone Rallyer of Times Square”, during the 2000 recount? That was me. I found a live webcam in Times Square and stood in view of it. There was a FR thread going while I was outside. Pretty funny stuff. The poster I used was the one mentioned about, a tiled PDF created by Registered. I actually may still have it in my closet...!
Some tourists took a photo of themselves with me, and then sent it to me. I’ll post it later tonight when I find it.
Thanks. Try it out tonight — you won’t believe how fast and easy it is to download the software and create a final product. Minutes.
I am going to try it now.
We've taken to using foam board found on sale as a backing. It's easier to hold, doesn't bend in the wind and the back makes a handy spit shield.
Free Silly!
And you can get the foam board for less than a dollar a sheet (20” x 30” size) when Michael’s has them on special - which is fairly regularly.
