"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
Amen and Amen! I heard this exchange today. Rush nailed it as usual.
Probably the best advice she’s received in her lifetime.
Thanks for posting it. She may not be sincere— I didn’t get to hear her tone in talking to Rush, but I do believe she meant that it had to be all about her when she met with Kedwards.
Wasn’t it President Ronald Reagan who said “This great breed called Americans”. Not to sound arrogant, but we are a blessed nation, blessed beyond belief! I hope Ballentine will someday realize it and support the country of her birth. Hope Rush helped her realize her full potential.
Was this for freakin’ real?!
“The United States is not a screw-up nation. The United States is God’s gift to the world. The United States is the greatest nation, the greatest civilization of free people ever to walk the planet.”
True and we will never be any closer to heaven on earth as this country.
Actually, I didn’t think she sounded very much like a liberal.
She sounded like a very well spoken young woman who has already overcome obstacles and is not sure of the road ahead.
Most of us have probably experienced those doubts at one time or another.
I notice she didn’t try at all to repeat or defend wanting a politician to do things for her.
I think someday she’ll make a good conservative. Getting herself through school and making good grades - she’s already half way there.
I heard her today. She did sound a bit whiney. I understand where she is coming from. When you have no support system and only poor examples to follow it isn’t easy to do it all on your own. I know, I was there. I hated the part where it was “all about me” but that’s probably all she is able to focus on right now. Most of us just see our own misery most of the time. Maybe she was saved, I hope so (in more ways than one).
Thanks, pbear8. Maybe she will start on her own road to recovery. It’s okay if it takes years— as long as she learns that she will get better care if she looks after her own responsibilities.
Remember what else President Reagan said: "How can we not believe in the greatness of America? How can we not do what is right and needed to preserve this last best hope of man on earth? After all our struggles to restore America, to revive confidence in our country, hope for our future--after all our hard won victories earned through the patience and courage of every citizen--we cannot, must not and will not turn back. We will finish our job. How can we do less? We're Americans."
So, its not arrogant at all--We are the best!
I didn't care about this "all about me" girl who, at age 22, has no idea what she wants to be when she "grows up", when I read the original transcript in another post, but I was curious about what Rush had to say to her, so I checked out this post.
I cared even less as soon as she said she had a dual major of Art History and Political Science, AND wanted to go to Grad School.
I'm sure she's going to find a great job in the Art History field which pays handsomely... NOT !
Political Science might earn her a living if she becomes a political hack, at our expense.
If she's worried about paying off loans why didn't she pick a major where she could earn a decent living?
I started skimming after I found out what her major was, because she's already a lost cause, no matter what Rush said to her.
Despite what Rush said at the end, she is going to hang around and wait for a president or any politician to do anything for you, you're going to be waiting when they bury you. And she'll be looking for, and probably getting, handouts the whole time.
This person is too stupid to be in college, and is going to be a burden on society. She needs to start practicing saying "You want fries with that?".
God bless Rush Limbaugh. He saved me back in the day. And he’s saving another one.
I’ve read numerous accounts that people who listened to Rush accidentally suddenly become productive members of society.
I think the poor girl is lonely and both physically and emotionally exhausted.
Had you listened as well? It’s hard to tell from the transcripts.
