OK so help me here. Where did they get suits? Did these guys get kidnapped with a full trunk of dress clothes? (except the girl apparently.)
I LOVE the guys that aren’t waving. They’re the only ones I’d consider going on a date with.

Where did they get those awful clothes? From Ahmadinejad's personal tailor - awful is right!

Come on, it must have been rough for them. Rumor is they had only black and white television, and being denied corkscrews they were forced to survive on food and water. Have a heart, anyone would have turned. Oh the horror, they forgot the Grey Poupon.

Yes, Code of Conduct. Thank you.
I've been following the FR threads on this incident, and yours is the first mention of Code of Conduct (by name) that I've seen.
Presumably the Brits have some equivalent code. I read that the Royal Marines are trained in such a code, but the sailors get little or no training. While there's lots of blame to spread around, this highlights a training deficiency in the Royal Navy. If you fail to train your sailors in a code of conduct, and then expose them to capture, you should not be surprised when they behave badly as prisoners. They haven't been taught the proper behavior. Hopefully, the Royal Navy AAR will reveal this shortcoming and produce a solution.
I would be VERY interested in a systematic comparison of the behaviors of the marines and sailors.
