Actually, Eric is right. Bush isn't a "conservative". He's a moderate. While he has done a few things that ARE conservative, he's done them almost by accident.

His pushing to keep the borders open, his pushing of globalist "one world" policies to out Nations detriment, signing McCain-Feingold, not prosecuting the War on Terror as an ACTUAL war, his constant capitulation to the libs when he should be arresting them for treason...

No... Bush is no conservative. Never has been. Eric wins this one. He made a verifiable statement. You tried to counter. Failed. Then things turned to insults, as much from you as from Eric. This loses YOU the high ground, your bible quotes not withstanding.

No he doesn't. He said that President Bush wasn't conservative in 'any way, shape or form.'

That is an outright misstatement because of its hyperbole, and I have already listed a series of things which prove it untrue.

You may scroll back to find out what they are. It would have been accurate to say that President Bush isn't conservative across the board, or he's not conservative enough, but to say he is not conservative in any area is flat out wrong.

Now I'm leaving this thread. Young Ozark is the kind of classless freeper whose goal is to aggravate, not inform, and I really don't want to hang around if he's coming back.

Once more to the point, one cannot be pro-life and say that President Bush is not conservative in any way.

I'm off this thread, but nice try Dead. You lose too.

What Bible quotes? Did you just make that up for effect to defend young Ozark for his vile words?

Just curious as to where the line of truth lies with you, and how easily you cross it.

He's a globalist One Worlder. Not a conservative. He's a Moderate. Not a conservative.

As I stated, he may have done SOME conservative things, this doesn't qualify him as a "conservative" as some of the sh*t he's done is the kind of thing NO conservative should ever entertain doing. McCain-Feingold is just ONE such thing.

You lose again...

131. Your appeal to your deity is no part of this argument. In fact, if you need supernatural help to win this one, you are more helpless than I'd thought...

Truth? You know no truth. You have faith. Truth is anathema to you...

The Repbulican party needs to change their "symbol" from the elephant to a croissant, a wedge of chees and a bottle of wine-because just like the French-they can never surrender fast enough.

Especially in light of Hagel and Specters recent comments.

Pity that Ohio has labled me a Bush hater since I have donated my money to both his campaigns and worked the phones a couple times here in my home county for W and other Republicans.
I have a signed photo of George and Laura along side my signed photo of the Gipper in my sales office. My first campaign was for Barry Goldwater. I was a high school freshman, so my conservative credentials go back a ways...
As I mentioned, I like George Bush a lot but think his only lasting accomplishment will be the two new High Court justices. The federal government under his watch has grown beyond anything the Clintons did and the great lost opportunity was not getting a Republican majority to make the tax cuts permanent. National Review, the WSJ and virtually every conservative voice has asked why W couldn't muster more than a single veto in his first term.

How exactly does one 'accidentally' support the life of the unborn in embryonic form?

That's a pretty remarkable 'accident' from a moderate.

I'm going to repeat because you either deliberately ignored it, or it passed over your head, but I never said that President Bush was conservative in ALL things. (I'm still ticked off about CFR).

I was factually refuting Young Ozark's claim that President Bush was conservative in NO things.

Ergo, I don't 'lose.' You cannot prove what is not so.

He's a globalist One Worlder

Oh, I get it......cult stuff.

That's why he stood up against the World Court and the UN.

I voted Brown in 2000. Bush in 2004. My first ever Presidential Vote was for Reagan's second term. Y'all got a few years on me. ;-)

During Bush's first term, he only threatened to veto one bill. A Republican one on immigration if I remember correctly. He got elected the second term and reverted to type. A moderate.

Not what we needed when we needed it most. But still not as bad as the alternative...

I'm hoping for either Hunter or Paul for '08...

FReegards...

FR courtesy..........ping the person you're talking about.

More 'class' from the Ozarks?

All you have to do is admit that your hyperbolic, untrue statement about the President's conservatism was hyperbolic and untrue.

You don't have to use vile language to try to 'win' the argument. At your age, you should know that.

So you have contorted my asking for a Godly President into 'Bible verses.'

I'm beginning to see where your line of 'truth' lies, Corpse.

Truth? You know no truth. You have faith. Truth is anathema to you...

This is a fascinating comment, and perhaps explains quite a bit about you.

So, if I read this right, no person of faith is concerned about truth. Is that right?

Biblical truth does not exist. Moral truth does not exist. Right and wrong do not exist. If I have faith in God, truth is anathema to me.

Is that what you are saying here?

Clinton, I'm sure if you looked hard enough, did some conservative stuff too. Doesn't make the label fit.

Repeating for the slow learners.

Ozark said that Bush wasn't a conservative in ANY area.

It is NOT true.

Can you please try to focus here?

Who me? Been here six years, Ozark.

Posted 500 threads so far. Member in good standing of this conservative website.

I've been a conservative my whole life too. An across the board, through and through, deep seeded conservative.

That's why I know what they are.
