I believe you are correct in saying,"One day we will all realize this".WMDS have a shelf life as any product.Syria will have a big problem disposing of them as they deteriorate. It may take some time, but unless they immersed them in a large volumes of concrete, the past may come back to haunt them.I would not be surprised if some years now, they will be pleading for help to dispose of them from the UN.I also think Saddam donated a large chunk of coin to them for their help.If I recall,Russia may have been assisting.I personally do not mind them sitting on poison.Hopefully the potency will devolve and if something were to happen, the effects would be greatly diminished.

The Bush admin knows full well where the WMDs went, and who transported them. .....but for some reason they're keeping quiet about it.

I think it's because Putin helped Iraq do it, the revelation could topple him, and Bush is more worried about what kind of nationalist/fascist government might follow him and gain control of the Russian nuclear arsenal than he is about revealing the truth - no matter how advantageous the truth might be to him, politically.

Moreover, I think Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee are well aware of this, too. Remember a couple of years back when some of them were cautioning their more Leftist colleagues not to push too hard on the "Bush Lied - No WMD" angle (it's been primarily the MoveOn activist types and the MSM echoing that line). It seems to suit everyone to shut up about it, for now.

Maybe if enough of them die from their use?

Lying is one of the defining characteristics of being a democrat.

If that were true, then Bush is more than the wimp he is...he'd be an idiot too. You're saying that Bush would purposely take a course of action that has literally destroyed his presidency, made our troops more vulnerable, destroyed our national image abroad and caused the loss of Republican power in Washington...among many other things. And he did this why? It must be one helluva reason.

This is the ongoing fly in the ointment. I'm willing at this point to believe the WMD/Syria story, but I won't get excited about it until Bush admin confirms it. Until that happens it might as well be a fish story.

The idea Hussein did not have stockpiles of WMD’s is not a creditable assumption. You have to believe that a fracturing, Oriental dictatorship of several competing and self-interested spheres of influence achieved an intelligence deception without parallel in the history of mankind against the sophisticated intelligence services of at least the U.S.A., Britain, France and Germany. Intelligence professionals simply don’t like to work together. In a management exercise requiring cooperation social workers would beat these people like a drum. You can be absolutely certain the four countries made four completely independent assessments using different methods and different human and material resources. As an example the Butler Commission still maintains Hussein’s people went to Niger to acquire yellow cake. All four of them were not wrong. The most reasonable assumption, like the one presented here and other for which much evidence exists, is that Syria and Russia received those stockpiles in trust for the regime.

A reasonable guess. That's also the opinion of General Thomas McInerney. (He's expressed this view several times on FNC).

Can't be. CNN has said there's no WMD.

You can go with CNN; I'll trust the President and his commanders on this one:

"No one was more surprised than I that we didn't find (WMDs)."
--General Tommy Franks December 2, 2005

"The main reason we went into Iraq at the time was we thought he had weapons of mass destruction. It turns out he didn't, but he had the capacity to make weapons of mass destruction."
-- George W. Bush, August 21, 2006

"The minute we found out they didn't have weapons of mass destruction, I was the first to say so."
-- President George W. Bush January 12, 2007

Ultimately, fundamental Islam is the weapon of mass destruction, and it can easily be found all around us.

Actually, I forgot the sarcasm tag! It doesn't matter whether Iraq had WMD or not, the point is there was PLENTY of justification to invade without them even if EVERYBODY in the world thought he had them!

Repeated violation crossing no flay zone.
Breaking of at least 15 other UN resolutions.
Kicking inspectors out, not allowing them access.
Shoting at or planes.
Colluding with terrorist.
Repeated breaking of cease-fire pact.
etc...

I believe syria got the weeapons from sadaam, but I am reluctant to believe a fellow who is just now coming forward to reveal his big"secret".

If you have noticed, the article is from January of last year and is from General Georges Sada's book Saddam's Secrets. I suggest you read it. It's an eye opener

The President does not seem to realize that one of the reasons he lost support is because he did not launch an truth campaign against the leftist propaganda media. Yesterday was the first time since he attacked the Islamic terrorists that he said something inspirational.
PS. I hope he fires all the rest of the 93 Clinton appointed prosecutors and puts in conservatives who will prosecute evil lawbreakers and not wink at their own. Fixing elections and charging innocent people with crimes they did not commit for political purposes is unacceptable. If one does the crime, one should have his day in court and not be allowed to go free, as Clinton and Janet Reno did when they murdered innocent people at Waco and Ruby Ridge.

Why not - you are talking about the same traitor who has absolutely refused to shut down our Southern border and to do something about the millions of illegal invaders that have come in via that border - and wants to grant blanket amnesty to the lawbreakers already here (including the drug-runners like the one who was the root cause of the two border agents going to prison).

What does the article have to do with our border issues? It is about the WMD's that Saddam had smuggled across the Iraq border in to Syria, and anyone who does not believe this is a fool

Since you're new here I'll explain that anytime someone mentions the Clintoon News Network aka CNN it's A) a joke, B) they're being sarcastic, C) it's meant in a derogatory manner, or D) all of the above.

I realized that the original post was laden with sarcasm; as was my reply. I was merely pointing out the foolishness of the notion that the lack of WMDs in Iraq is some kind of liberal media conspiracy, using quotes from the President to support my position -- unless you think that our commander in chief is a liberal hack on CNN's payroll.
