Yet, today, a narrow majority in the House of Representatives advocated its responsibility

advocated or abdicated?

Am I missing something here?

Why is there no time line for Troop removal in Bosnia? Security is no longer needed in Bosnia but security is still needed in Iraq.

No time line is needed. We will leave when the Iraqi people can secure them self.

It would be immoral to do otherwise.

Peloser is pandering to the Commie left who are crying for defeat and Troop removal. These are traitors to the mission if Free Iraq. And if they don't like being called a traitor, they should not give me a reason to do so.

These people were marching on March 17th in Washington DC. These same people are calling for defeat and/or Troop removal in Iraq:

if he vetoes it, they will say that it was none other than GWB who denied funds for the troops.

This may be a silly question, but just exactly who are the Democrats "scoring political points" with? Their base?

Good for Bush. He needs to really stick it to the Democrats and all those that oppose fighting this WOT the RIGHT way. May God bless that man and give him the strength he needs to fight the battle.

I see where our new conservative blue dog democrat Heath Schuler voted for the bill, I wonder what kind of pork he got for his district.

"Yet, to score political points, the Democratic majority in the House has shown it is willing to undermine the gains our troops are making on the ground."

Pot...kettle...black...

Bush has become a master of making moves solely to score political points...

Is there anyone decent in DC anymore?

I trust our President. These things that involve educating the less attentive in society take time. The honor of America and those that love it will prevail....for now.

The key to this is that no matter what the congress does this is a supplemental bill and not the actual budget bill meaning if the President has to he will get the money from somewhere. The Pentagon asked for $93 billion but in reality the need is probably half that and if the President wants to really get mad he could take it from states whose reps voted for this pork bill through the Defense Contractors.

Just called my congresswoman (Deborah Pryce) to thank her for her No vote on today's 'screw the troops' bill. The staffer I spoke with said I was the first call to say thanks for that.

You guys might also want to get on the phone to say thanks (where appropriate). They here positive feedback too.
