Shep Smith keeps repeating the liberals' mantra "the SCANDAL"
and no one will stand up and argue it. What the heck is wrong with President Bush?

How can you forget about the present, which impacts the future, ie...2008?

It's all part of the same package. And the Dems are playing it for all they can from now until next election day. They are planning on winning, you know.

___
Time to forget about the Bush Administration and worry about 2008.

I fear that after Bush is done, the only question will be if it is Hillary or Obama in 2008.

You know, it just might be possible that W will say: "All of my political appointees serve at the pleasure of the president. We've offered to give Congress the information they have requested and make some officials available. Beyond that, the principle of Executive Privilege will be preserved."

Well, it could happen.

"He damned well better not!"

That's why they call the call him a "lame duck". He has no power, no respect, and now no guts.

...and apologize profusely to the Democrats

The Republican strategy is to never defend yourself, never stand up to principle, never question the Democrats' motives, never be on the offense, and never forget to say your sorry when the Democrats accuse you of something, right or wrong, good or bad.

I'll believe it when I see it and hear it for myself. If GWB actually shows some backbone and/or cojones, he might gain back the respect I once held for him.

Gonzales is a personal friend. It just didn't seem likely to me that he would add insult to injury by announcing a friend's resignation right before the evening news, just handing them that news to chew on...

Sad. President Bush needs to tell the Democrats to stop politicizing everything, turning every Republican act into a crime and every flaw into a scandal. No laws were broken here. No rights were violated, no obvious ethical breaches occurred, and no animals were harmed in the making of public policy.

Bush ought to tell Teddy and Chucky and Leaky and the rest of the whiny leftist turds on Capitol Hill to go piss up a rope. Bill Clinton's beefy, butch AG fired everybody and the media thought it was just grand.

But he'll meekly surrender instead. 2008 can't get here soon enough.

The country dodged a big bullet when Meirs was first nominated to SCOTUS instead of Gonzalez.
