I wasn't aware of that. Can you back that statement up for us, please?It's sourced a number of times on this thread. The only Clinton holdover Bush kept was Mary Jo White (Southern District of New York), and she was replaced in 2002.
Lurking Libertarian, and the others mentioned above -- Kathy in Calif, Lugsoul and ContemptofCourt, have been spamming this disinformation on every US Attorney thread at Free Republic.
They have been repeatedly challenged to produce some evidence of this and similar claims, and the best they have ever done is to produce an early Department Of Justice boilerplate press release that outlines the general transition plans of the administration.
These plans which did not unfold as the administration had hoped. Bush's transition and appointments were help up at every level, as most will recall.
I think the moderators should look into the posting history of these posters, since this seems to be quite a concerted effort by them to work as a "tag team" here.
Either that or it is a very bizarre coincidence.
But judging by the rest of their posting history, I think that is unlikely.

Anyway, it's clear that 79 is not 93. And accepting resignations does not mean firing.
But this seems to be source article for all the "tag team's" posts about Mary Jo White being the sole holdover.
