concealing a magnet inside his rectum
I once heard one of those alternative health shows selling some sort of magnet contraption...but I think you were supposed to wear it on your wrist. :)

This jerk should have been removed to a safe place and detonated with a shaped charge.

Been done already. A few years back a couple russian airliners were brought down by Chechen women who concealed explosives in a body cavity.

...officials said he posed no apparent threat... Sure, everyone carries a butt magnet and wires when they fly. Nothing to see here... move along you looky-loos.
This is just another in a series of incidents where Muslims are testing to see what they can get away with on flights. I fully expect another 9-11 style hijacking in the near future.

Yes they are checking us out, probing us if you like."
Ugh such flights of fancy.
Nobody was probing us. He was either delivering parts to the aircraft to be used to assemble a bomb later by someone else or he was the assembler waiting to board the aircraft.

History has shown especially during WW2 that the enemy will always find a way to circumvent security. We may laugh at this but these Muslims know no boundary to further their gains. I would not even be surprised if they managed to load up a persons blood system with explosives or plutonium. Or something harmless but yet another person has a catalyst, mix body fluids together and BOOM!
I just get a sick feeling knowing that this will continue forever, for years.

YOu can check this out quite quickly on the internet. It's a "medical treatment" for folks with failing sphincter muscles.
Anyone who thinks it's a "dry run" knows nothing!

What's the joke? This guy obviously had a medically necessary device ~
I think it's more commonly the case that women find such things necessary after giving birth, particularly if they have a 3rd or 4th degre episiotomy.

He could very well have cancer, diverticulosis, etc., etc.
There are a variety of reasons your sphincter can fail.

Are you diagnosing him based on assumptions, or has this been acknowledged in the news-media and I've just missed it?
To: muawiyah
here's why I ask - the latest article I've read is at the link below (with snip from article), and it doesn't sound like a he had a magnet up his butt to close his sphincter to me:
http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2007/03/body_cavity_sea.html
He then, according to the Times, "proceeded to remove items from his rectum, including a rock, chewing gum and thin wire filament."
(snip)
During questioning, Al-Maliki said the objects in his rectum were used to alleviate stress, federal law enforcement sources said.
The rock, authorities said he told them, was from another planet. (The Associated Press, by the way, writes that it may have been a magnet.)
To: California74
You could have looked it up ~ try "magnets" "anus" "sphincter", and there it is.
That's something I do habitually whenever I find something exceeding strong ~ and, surprise, this time I struck paydirt!
No doubt the guy had a doctor's note.
