Btw just because a person smiles doesn't mean there isn't a different emotion behind it.

I guess then your mean spirited childish personal attack on Coulter's Adams Apple isn't ok just because you put a :-) behind it then is it? Try living up to your own standard before lecturing anyone else hypocrite.

I haven't had a chance to listen to this yet, so I have no opinion on whether this is "unfortunate" or not. Just had two seconds on FR and thought I'd pass this on to you!

I'm not arguing whether this is an "unfortunate" tape or not, but I just can't understand what either of them is saying with all the background noise. Is it possible there is some sort of transcript of what they are saying?

By your definition, Rudy should be shunned even more. No one ever goes from Mayor directly to the presidency. This cult of Rudy is enough to make me gag. Not only is a mayor unqualified to be CIC, but for the sake of argument, if he is, then we'd want to look closely at the policies he thrusted upon NY. Some good, some more than abysmal. Sorry.

Okay maybe it is just me, but I couldn't understand a thing either one of them was saying. So unless I was just supposed to see that Mitt is a nice guy, and him and Ann were having a pleasant conversation I'm stumped.

I did hear someone say maam no media allowed back here, but the tape kept rolling.

I had the same problem in listening/watching this tape. Couldn't understand a thing anyone was saying except the "no media allowed" comment.

I didn't realize you could count that high.

So Ann Coulter is a man, and anybody who finds her attractive is a pervert?? You Ann-haters are some sick puppies, you in particular. Head on back to DU.

Well, historically the chances of a NY mayor having a shot at the presidency were actually quite good. In the 19th century there were several, and a couple in the 20th century got close. But as I say, I'm hard pressed to EVER find a single congressman who came close to the White House.

James Garfield, 1880, I think. :) He was assassinated six months into his term.

I think that Adams the younger? served in the House after the presidency, but I've been looking and I can't find one either.

As far as NY mayor's wasn't Dewey NY mayor when he ran?

Another point, New York City's population is greater than 39 other states. This deriding RG as a mere mayor, seems specious when compared to the governor of Iowa Vlasic, or even Arkansas Clinton.

Absolutely right about Adams, the ONLY U.S. Pres. to ever serve in the House after being Pres. (Johnson did so in the Senate after Grant came in).

"Personally, I believe a case could be made that Coulter projects her own sexual insecurities into general discussions far too often."

You hit the nail right on the head. Did you see the clips of her Q&A time? Dear Ann got just a wee cranky when someone had the temerity to question her lack of marital status. I guess making rude, snarky remarks and innuendoes is reserved for Mann, I mean, Ann, only.

HUnter is better on the issues, but at the moment Romney is better as a leader.

I think Romney and Hunter are virtually identical on all the top issues (http://www.freerepublic.com/~unmarkedpackage/). But you are right about the leadership part.

Are you either a reader or the author of the comic strip called "The Boondocks"?
