I can't believe anyone anyone that calls themselves a conservative could vote for this person, just on THIS ONE ISSUE. All others become gone if this is gone.

I've been kinda single-minded on the gun issue, but not because I don't care about other issues. Rudy is so wrong on so many issues, that there's no shortage of people to collect and disseminate the information. How anyone claiming to be a conservative can see anything attractive in the guy is beyond me too. He simply isn't a conservative. I'm not sure how he gets shoehorned into the label "Republican" either.

Unfreaking believable! These people don't "respect" Pete Sessions because he is endorsing Rudy - someone who IF he wins President can never VOTE on anything. They will trash probably the BEST FRIEND they have in Congress who actually VOTES on LAW simply because he supports a man who actually has a chance of beating Hillary Clinton (and Bill).

The picture means nothing, other then as a personal memento. Reagan took thousands of photo shots with people over a sixty year public career. There is no evidence that Reagan was a friend of Giuliani.

The Reagan administration nominated many people to positions inside the Reagan run federal government. Rudy held two positions. Democrat James Webb was publicly praised by Pres Reagan and then appointed by Reagan to be Sec of the Navy. This last year, Webb beat GOP Senator George Allen in the last election cycle. Reagan appointed the moderate Sandra Day O'Connor to the SCOTUS and libertarian-conservative Jean Kirkpatrick to be the UN ambassador.

As a Democrat, Reagan voted for Eisenhower twice, in 52&56, then Reagan voted for Nixon in 1960 versus JFK. In 1962 Reagan changed his political affiliation from Democrat to Republican. Reagan said he resigned from the Democratic Party, because he felt the party leadership had left him.

Right now the debate is whether Rudy Giuliani should be the GOP nominee. Giuliani being an obvious liberal Republican, I'd say NO WAY! This is not about some fictitious notion of who Pres Reagan would or wouldn't have supported for POTUS, 4-1/2 years after his death. Reagan bolted from the Democratic Party in 1962. If alive today, Reagan could just as easily bolted from the GOP and joined another political party. A third party!

I love it. I predicted that Newt would endorse Rudy last week but I didn't think it would be so soon. Ok maybe it wasn't a straight out endorsement but it is close enough for now.

This has be a spectacular week for Rudy. He has got to be pleased.

But I feel a little sorry for McCain. I sort of like the idea of having two heavy hitting frontrunners (one as a back up in case the other one falters).

Huh? Cause I know you are full of it? No one has to ever leave FR to see that.

Don't worry, though. I am a pro-life conservative in spite of you.

Don't underestimate Rudy. He can do this. I've seen him in pressers with the New York media...and he is good -- as opposed to GWB (god love him), who is terrible at communicating and pushing back against the dems. Rudy's good at that. He can beat Hillary.

Jeb has alot of positives - good with Hispanics, from an important state, conservatives seem to like him. OK, there is the "not another Bush" negative, but as VP it might not be so intense.

NO more Bushes or Clintons. It's time for a fresh name. The presidency should not be a 'hand me down' thing from generation to generation.

As to your Pete Sessions post, Benedict Arnold was the hero of Saratoga right up until the moment he sold out.

It was pap. Of course, that was what the electorate was ready for, so it worked, in some degree.
But it was hardly brilliant statesmanship.

You really posted that? You disparage the document that helped the repubs crush the dims in 94?

Your bitterness against Rudy has unhinged you...if the hinges were ever on.

Uh oh. It has been too long between pings, and you've had long enough to whine to JR, whom you pinged.

Let me give my predictions:

EV will come out for John Cox mid-April, or

EV will delightedly promote Keyes, who decided he must enter the race to give true conservatives a real choice.

Game On, EV, if the answer is Keyes. Truth ain't libel. And it won't be coming from a website.

That is the one area this administration has consistently fallen down - PR - and pushing back against the Rat's lies. Letting them lie with impunity has emboldened them so now they're really on a roll and it's damaging the country terribly.

You're right - Rudy WILL fight back!

Ah. Another Giuliani shill who thinks the Contract was deep and meaningful policy.

Can you name one major conservative agenda item that was meaningfully and lastingly impacted by the CwA?
