Come on! Pile on more BS please! If Police officers NEVER, EVER, stood in traffic, I could see your point. They do it all the time... it's their job.

You can eat your BS and cry. Check the stats on the causes of death for police killed in the line of duty. Far more are killed on the roadway than killed by criminal violence. And I'm not talking about accicdents while they are driving, I'm talking about sitting in a cruiser or standing in the roadway.

It's nice that people raise money for vests, but we'd save more LEO lives if people paid more attention to officers on the shoulder or in intersections directing traffic.

I should have also added that the majority opinion that I've seen is that the guys that put up the signs are being pinned as the fall guys for the mistakes of a corrupt and incompetent government. The prosecution in this case tried to tell the judge that the suspects placed the light boards with the intention of causing a panic and disruption. That is an extremely ridiculous comment and it speaks to the idea that somebody is probably trying to cover their own asses on this one. Also, ATHF has been on for 7 years and 68 episodes and has a feature length movie coming out this year. Even if it ended right now, it's all ready had a good run.

Far from it. The "Adult Swim" segment, of which this was a part, has "Parental Advisory: Mature Content" warnings that the content (rated TV-MA) is not appropriate for children. If you are sitting your little ones down in front of the Cartoon Channel to go do something else thinking it's safe content, you need to reconsider.

Eat your BS. Most often, accidents resulting in death on the job are a direct result of the tasks and duties of the job. Gardeners are most often killed by power gardening tools and lawnmower accidents, loggers are most often killed by falling objects, Electricians are killed by electricity, so it's no surprise at all that those who's jobs involve standing in the friggin road are most often killed on the job by STANDING IN THE ROADWAY!

These "devices" put none of the police officers into any kind of special circumstance that would warrant piling on with your BS.

Buddy, I handle myself just fine. Just wise to situation. An even wiser person than myself once taught me being right doesn't mean you win... took me a few classes to really understand that.

Hasn't your time in line at the Airport taught you that lesson yet? Tell that guy by the metal detector you don't need to remove your shoes because there is no bomb in them if you are so couragous.

It is your duty to help him be more efficient! He has mistakenly identified your shoes as a bomb. Correct him!

In a situation where the powers to be couldn't figure out your backpack doesn't have a bomb in it, tell me exactly who do you help by walking up and telling them that it is your backpack? The costs have already been incurred, and the process in place to incur the remaining. The ethical argument is not a utilitarian one between society and your own comfort. As if by "handling it" you will somehow save some money, or fear, or get the ambulance out of traffic or stop the inconvenience foisted on the masses by the press and one mistaken secret service member.

It is not one of honor or morality either, no one is in danger and you did not lie, correcting someone who believes you lied is arrogance, not etical behavior. Take the advice of the first guy you talk to in these situations. The one who says, "nothing to see here, move along."

Shop for the LED's not the batteries. That is where the power saving is going on! Plus they had a sensor that turned them off during the day. Clever really.

Look my point about the van remains valid. I walk around with electronics all the time. A lot of them look like bombs. It is my job. I don't need this kind of grief about anything with batteries and wires is a bomb hoax. The cops made a mistake. They just can't own up to it.
