They say that Milton Berle used to dress up in drag as some way to show that people won't have a problem with Rudy being shown in drag.

The problem is, Berle didn't run for president. Rudy is. People want a sense of gravitas in their president.

Dukakis lost the image of gravitas with that stupid tank photo op. Kerry's bunny suit comes to mind as well.

But that's nothing to what the Dems can do with Rudy's cross-dressing.

And Berle did it as a paid entertainer - a comedian. Giuliani did it on several occasions including a dinner fundraiser for a radical gay group that advocates for gay marriage, an openly gay military, and acceptance/normalization of deviancy in each and every aspect of our society. They wish to pretend that the drag queen thing was an isolated incident at one 'inner circle' event. It was a lot more than that and the reasons that it was done - the causes that it supported - expose Giuliani's radical agenda and a lack of character.
