Well, I'm not advocating that and I never said that. You're jumping to conclusions. I did state that I agree that I can understand how this crap happens. People get fed up. Just like I - and others - are getting fed up with you!
--So in your opinion armed rebellion is never justified, or just not justified here and now?--
The Constitution considers rebellion a crime. This forum does not support any type of rebellion.
And when they returned?
When they returned he would have had a bully pulpit [just as Koresh had at Waco] to justify his action.
Remember every action at any level of government on a citizen is potentially lethal force. If an individual resists, the response will escalate to the point where he must be taken away in chains or someone is harmed by his effort of resistance.
Yep, Koresh had his options, -- so did Watson. They both chose death.
Our existence carries a social contract that should be secured by the Rule of Law; whereas nowadays we progressively appear to be be enslaved by Mob Rule and survival of the fittest.
Well put. Our constitutional social contract should indeed be secured by the rule of law.
Watson insisted that ~his~ rules over his property trumped our rule of law.
Luis Gonzalez insists that ~his~ rules over his property trumps our rule of law about carrying arms in vehicles.
Thanks for the opportunity to clarify my position.
--Well, I'm not advocating that and I never said that. You're jumping to conclusions--
I jumped to no conclusions. I merely asked you if he called the cops before shooting. That is not "jumping" on you. You responded that it was over 20 years ago and he probably did. I responded that since you had no memory of what happened, your example was worthless.
Obsessions are weird. Seek help.
Looks like the public is really mad about the government intruding on private property.
Listen. Private property irritates marxists (dems, libs, progressives, media). They want to take it away and they are very successful: property taxes, eminent domain, "easement". Laws about what you can and "can not" do on your private property.
This is creeping marxism. Little by little our rights are taken away by marxists who hope that we don't notice.
The worst offender is property tax which takes your house a little at a time. If your tax is at 10%, the government has seized your whole house in 10 years.
Since the government left you with the snow and the grass and the hedges and the new roofs it hopes that we don't notice that it is gradually taking our house.

I know, you keep asking me the same question over and over and I keep answering it for you again and again but you won't answer my question.
Do you still approve of the GA bill after this discussion we have had?
The attitudes displayed on this thread will decide elections for a long time to come.
So you think that this forum supports Castro? Chavez?
The Constitution considers rebellion a crime
All governments think rebellion is a crime, yet people are driven to it from time to time by what they feel to be intolerable conditions. This guy had way too low a flash point, but as the government becomes more and more overweening, more and more people are going to get pushed over the edge.
And when they returned?

Upallnight agrees with luis.

If you don't feel you are getting adequate roads, streetlights, etc. for your tax dollars, then vote differently or run for local office yourself. But note, roads don't repair themselves, cops and firemen don't do their jobs as hobbies and power companies don't give away electricity for free.
--If your tax is at 10%, the government has seized your whole house in 10 years.--
Where is the property tax 10%? We are paying less in property taxes than than inflation and our home value is increasing faster than inflation, partly because of the facilities in the community that are paid for by our property taxes.
JR's words. If you interpret them as supporting Castro, you are an idiot.

I looked up stories on this on Nexis to find out more about it. This happened back in 2000, and Garry Watson's middle name was DeWAYNE, which seems to fit well with the prevailing theory about men with WAYNE in their names ending badly.

Such a two-faced Marxist.
--Thanks for the opportunity to clarify my position.---
Go ahead. Make MY day. Answer the question and close it with "Thanks for the opportunity to clarify my position."
I would be a happy camper!
You just can't post without resorting to insults can you?

My mean older cousin was named Wayne. His father was an ATC. He became an ATC but went out on strike under Reagan. His father said he was crazy. Next thing you know, he is selling insurance.
