You keep showing up on these threads insinuating that Shawn is guilty of the kidnapping of Ben. Yet, despite cases extremely similar to Shawn's being shown to you, you persist.
Yes, you are hoping this kid is guilty so you can feel superior or you wouldn't be here saying the same thing over and over again.

"The sheriff of Franklin County is condemning as speculation a television news report that kidnap victim Shawn Hornbeck himself helped to kidnap another victim, William "Ben" Ownby, 13."
This morning, Franklin County Sheriff Gary Toelke took a frustrated tone in discussing the KMOV interview.
"This information doesn't need to be released right now," he said in a telephone interview. "It's based on speculation. It's only harmful to the boys and their families."
Without citing specifics, Toelke said some of the speculation in the media "is incorrect. We've asked the media to hold off on such stories until this case goes through the judicial process. When it's released in court, it'll be public information -- and it'll be accurate." Toelke said that as soon as authorities had arrested Devlin, "We knew there was going to be speculation. So we ceased giving interviews. We didn't want to be a part of that." Now, he said, "The boys are being victimized again."

I did't see him smile, but someone said that he had new teeth. She looked like she was wearing her lower dentures, which appeared to be missing in her earlier appearances. I only saw the picture of the Oprah appearance that was on FOX.
did you read the article? Theya re stepping down, that is what the article said! they are leaving it up to someone else to give 100% focus on Shawn.
I wouldnt choose either. I would protect my child from any media and not have him subjected to a freak show. When the trial comes around it will be bad enough that he has to relive it all over again.
He hasn't been identified as a "willing" accomplice. And, frankly, I'm stunned that that is what interests you most. Why? Are you doing a study on how to turn an innocent young boy into the tool of a monster?

I haven't said anything on other threads about this, that I recall, either blaming Sean or absolving him. I have never "bashed" Sean.
I just commented on this one thread that I find appearing on Oprah a weird way to avoid the spotlight.

I saw them on the morning news and they were on Oprah-the stepfather was positively beaming. They were not there to disseminate information. I sincerely hope they can put the genie back in the bottle and put their lives back together, but it's not going to happen on the couch with Dr. Phil.
The article said their new home will include a home office from which to run their foundation.
When the media has their satellite trucks parked in front of your house, how are you protecting him?
yes, well that changed as of today! they have changed their mind since yesterday and the foundation will likely be run in an office nearby.
Gee, well maybe if Craig Akers would have stayed with his well-paying job as a software engineer, instead of dropping everything to search for his son and other missing kids, he could have used his nice dental benefits. I'll make a mental note that, should my child ever be kidnapped, to make sure my husband continues going to work so I can look good at all times!
Oh, so they were beaming because they were on Oprah? Right. They weren't possibly beaming because they had the most incredible result to their ordeal.
