You know....Bush is classy. But before all the Freepers start all this 'gag, gag' about Bush saying "Madame speaker..." I am proud of what he said and I think he meant it!

Conservatives are NOT two faced. I am thrilled that a woman is able to be a Speaker of the House in the United States ! I can't stand Pelosi, I think she is evil. However, he was ...and I am...honoring that a woman is able to hold such a high office.

We can honor and be very proud that our country has a female in this position. Just because you don't like Pelosi is no reason to be so negative about the term "Madame Speaker". we ask the libs to respect the office of the president. Let's do the same with all our political offices.

But why not give him credit for the positives along with criticism for the failures?

Thank you.

Bush could be perfect in every way and many of these people would turn on him (and have)over a single issue.

We should congratulate them for for helping to give us a Democratic Congress.

Did he say cut funding of abortions through Medicaid, since it's a 'private' choice? Kidding. State flashback.

I've always though he's done well during these SOTU speeches. It's up to Democrats to listen to them with OPEN MINDS (yeah I know I'm not asking for much am I?)

She really does blink alot, doesn't she?

About twice per second. That's got to be uncomfortable.

I cried a couple of tears for my Moma, who died in August, because that woman introduced our President. (In Moma's honor:"I hope that when Nancy gets home tonight, her moma comes out from under the porch and bites her!"

"Now the task is to build on this success, without watering down standards without taking control from local communities and without backsliding and calling it reform. We can lift student achievement even higher by giving local leaders flexibility to turn around failing schools and by giving families with children stuck in failing schools the right to choose something better. /applause/ We must increase funds for students who struggle – and make sure these children get the special help they need. /polite applause/ And we can make sure our children are prepared for the jobs of the future, and our country is more competitive, by strengthening math and science skills. The No Child Left Behind Act has worked for America’s children – and I ask Congress to reauthorize this good law." /applause/
