"Clearly you didn't tell them about the bagpipes..." Well, this was over the Irish Sea, so they might have been more forgiving for that than American pilots.
By the way, just speculating here, but I can think of at least one good reason why Irish pilots are not allowed to wear kilts while flying.

By the way, just speculating here, but I can think of at least one good reason why Irish pilots are not allowed to wear kilts while flying. Thoroughly tired and about to crash, so I can't even guess. Why?

I might consider it. Do they tend to be expensive?A basic one is about $50 up here, so maybe $35 to $40 Stateside.
I've never had more than a basic one, but my Daughter and Son-in-law gave me a coupon for one for my birthday that includes a half hour foot and leg message, as well as a paraffin wax skin treatment.
I'm going to save it until later in the spring.
