We sure do...Democrats and RINOS.
Turks & Caicos Islands, likely. Costa Rica, an off-chance. Couple of other more remote possibilities, Neth. Antilles for one.
I'd like to, but end up having to vote Republican instead.
Oh?
Like Ford's appointment of John Paul Stevens???
We KNOW the Dems are bad. We EXPECT the Republicans to be better, but all too often they are not and JulieAnnie's Mitt's or McCain's choices would be indistinguishable from Hillery's.
Trust me.
Based on comments like yours I am starting to feel that the "conservative" tag has lost all meaning. There are conservatives with so many beliefs that nothing really unites us. Perhaps only "Democrats are worse". That doesn't sound like a winning proposition to me.
I agree that there are structural impediments to 3rd parties winning elections in the USA. But I think it's hard to read the Constitution Party platform and not think they are more Conservative than what we have seen out of Bush & the Republican Congress in the last six years.
Have you forgotton Reagan's 11th commandment?
To be a successful "big tent" coalition you need to moderate the extremes and deliver something to all your major factions. The Dems are getting better at this. For libertarian voters who usually vote Republican out of pragmatism there were not a whole lot of reasons to continue to do so in 2006. If the "ur mission" or libertarians is more freedom it is hard to see one area where Bush & Co. delivered on this. "Nancy will be worse" is not a record of accomplishment to run on. In six years the R's COULD HAVE eliminated SOME government boondoggle. How about NPR? Or CPB, or PBS, or other government funded leftist propaganda mills. Too gutless to take on Barney.
What's the Constitution Party's view on "domestic spying" on international phone calls?
Sounds like they both have a lot in common with the GOP.
BREAKING IRRELEVANT NEWS
It's like asking for tryout with the Yankees on the basis of your extensive baseball card collection.
The CP is against the War on Terror and Cindy Sheehan said Ron Paul is one of her favorite reps. because he is against the war.
CP has the same views as the far left.
Voting third party always elects a democrat.
You have bought the democrat party line
I am underwhelmed by the quality of your logic.
First off neither Cindy Sheehan NOR Ron Paul is a member of the CP. So that is totally off base. Secondly, the question we were discussing was whether the CP is Conservative or not, so whatever the effect of voting CP is, it is moot.
The root of your issue is that the CP has shown concern for (at least in this posting) the erosion of some civil liberties by the new provisions of bills like the Patriot Act. That hardly qualifies them as "having the same views as the far left".
Ronald Reagan and Jane Fonda both favored public school integration. That does not make either Jane Fonda a conservative nor Ronald Reagan a socialist traitor. Get it?
Those are LIBERAL ideas.
Exactly. It is to bad the CP folks are so blind are don't get the big picture
Third party gave us Carter and Clinton.
Do the Math.
I'm sure you remember Reagan's 1980 campaign slogan: "The Time is Now."
Corsi's got a natural slogan just waiting for him: "The Crime is NAU."
Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Hate to break it to you, but Tancredo is a bit player and would not have this effect.
"The CP is against the War on Terror and Cindy Sheehan said Ron Paul is one of her favorite reps. because he is against the war."
This is undeniable logic. Using similar logic we can see that both Leonid Breznev and George Bush launched invasions of Afghanistan. And both of their names start with 'B'! Bush is a communist??
