I pray that Pres. Bush 43 is OUT of office when it comes time for 41's funeral...wouldn't that be a horrible thing for Pres. Bush to have to deal with??

I'm glad they gave him and Barbara the aisle seat and pushed Bill & Hillary farther down the pew.
To: Mo1
GHW and Barbara just arrived; Jimmah, Ros, Bill & Hill went to greet them. Hill and Jimmah were chatting up a storm, as are Condi & Chelsea who are seated together. Is this the live funeral thread?
To: Miss Didi
Yes
The hearse is driving past the White House now

I don't even want to think about it. Bush 41 has always reminded me of my grandpa and I have sort of adopted him. He can't die. I won't allow it!
No way President Bush could handle the state funeral of his father. NO WAY! Not as a sitting President.

Yes, he really is. He's a good and decent man, who knows when to talk and when to shut-up, very rare. He's a classy man.

The Pentagon Channel is covering the funeral and right now replaying the audio of Vice President Cheney's eulogy at the Capitol last Saturday night.

Wow. Look at that view --- Brit says it's from atop of the Washington Monument.

That was the most touching and memorable speech Mr. Cheney has ever given. Very moving and heart felt.

Does anyone know what that musical piece is? It is beautiful!
To: defconw
That was the most touching and memorable speech Mr. Cheney has ever given. I completely agree.
To: defconw
I know it is for health reasons - but why is Dick Cheney not running for President! We will need him when W leaves.
To: Right_in_Virginia
I cried.

I wonder if the Ford's pick the music played during this portion of the ceremony or if the Church does.
To: defconw
The part where he said (paraphrasing) that we will never know what wounds weren't opened because of his actions was very moving.
As a bit of color, I have never noticed that all of the state flags hang in the National Cathedral.
