Were you just watching FNC and that interview with Trent Lott??
Did you see the split screen of the Capital?
Who was that greeting and shaking hands with the visitors going to see President Ford?

*****Brinkley, set Couric striaght and made her look foolish- he said while President Ford may have been critical of the war there was no doubt about the love Rummy and Cheney had for him...****
I was reading a book this year called the Reagan Revolution by Craig Shirley. It was about the Reagan '76 campaign. Cheney was very involved in the Ford campaign and Cheney was about the only person in the Ford white house that took Reagan seriously. Also Rumsfeld was given serious consideration for VP after Agnew resigned.

I was thrilled to see Jack Carter lose in Nevada, thank God they still have some sense there, though at the rate Dingy is bringing home the pork, I don't see them getting rid of him any time soon.

I was wondering about that too. I assume it was perhaps one of the Ford children.
To: Mo1
Dang..I didn't see it.
Hopefully, someone on this thread did see it...
What did Lott say??

Fox News has been doing a lot of switching in the past year.
Their viewers are doing some switching of their own in the past year.

I was wondering about that too. I assume it was perhaps one of the Ford children. I wasn't sure if it was them or Elizabeth Cheney .. the women had long blond hair
Whoever it was, I thought that was a nice thing to do

Has anyone answered your question yet? I knew the man was Jack Ford, the middle son. As to the blond haired woman, I heard some voice on TV...can't remember whether FNC or CSpan, say it was Jack's wife. (I was channel surfing so can't recall at which quick stop I heard that.)

say it was Jack's wife That could have been her
I just thought it was really sweet that they would greet the public like that and take the time to shake their hands and talk with them
The Ford Family has a lot of class .. good decent people

I agree.
On another thread they are bashing Michael Ford and the other family members for what they did when Cheney was escorting Mrs. Ford toward the casket.
On that same thread they are bashing President Bush either for not receiving the casket at Andrews or not being at the Capitol observances, or both.
I guess that one is the funeral bash thread.

The knee-jerkiness of this place...especially when sourced from the MSM...is not to be believed (It's gotten THAT bad.)
