believe me normally sane people for some reason love to vote for bayh.
Women seem to be infatuated with his looks and his picture-postcard family.
He was the one guy that probably would have been completely unbeatable by any Republican candidate. Major bullet dodged if he isn't running.

The guy is like Harold Stassen.

This is good news for Republicans.

I saw Bayh on the tube on CSPAN, on the road to the White House, last Sunday, doing the NH thing. He doesn't have the necessaries. He was all platitudes, delivered in a pedestrian way, that left the audience at the end barely clapping. He is smart to bail. He doesn't have the juice.

Hmmm...we could be looking at a possible Bayh vs. Brownback race in 2012, if McCain picks Brownback as his running mate and decides not to run for a second term due to his age, at which time the Beast may be more willing to offer Bayh her "Support."

Bahy feared that his hair would never be as nice as that of The Breck Boy.

He gets elected here because we only have one paper in Indianapolis, and the Star reporters LOVE him. He gets NO unfavorable coverage from them or from the TV stations.
He was a terrible governor with an administration full of scandals and he ran the Indiana budget into huge debt. He runs gauzy ads with his wife and twin sons trumpeting "Hoosier values" and then goes to DC and votes against the partial birth abortion amendment and Condi Rice's confirmation.
I was worried, however, that his youthful looks and executive hair might sway the swing voters, so I am glad he's not running. I would much rather have that fat oaf Richardson out there on the campaign trail.
It is interesting, however, that he has dropped out. He had the second largest war chest after Hillary.
