A few years ago a regular poster on Indymedia blew a police officer's brains out -- killed him -- put him in the ground for eternity. Do we ever hear about this nutcase? Does Keith Olbermann rise up in righteous indignation about him? Does anybody even remember the story of this savage, cold-blooded, politically motivated slaying?No -- nobody remembers and nobody mentions it. But some dude who sends nutjob letter threats -- a far cry from cop killing -- gets his half hour on cable thanks to Olbermann. And Olbermann gets to bash his enemies. And everybody in MainstreamMediaLand, where all the eeevvviiilll people are on the right, and all the saints are on the left, goes home happy.
The killer, Andrew McCrae, now in prison for life, was a student on the far left campus of Evergreen State College. He is the son of a college professor, and, as noted above, regularly posted on leftwing websites, particularly Indymedia.
Thanks for the info...I'd totally missed this story until today when some lefty (on a Usenet newsgroup) sent me the YouTube vid...which I posted in this thread.
