Why would I post the entire post when 'most' of it is derisive of the man?

The borders should have been shut on September 12th, 2001.The border should have been shut down with the implementation of the 1987 amnesty, that is what we were promised in return for the amnesty.
I am not so patiently waiting.

2. Punish those who employ and house illegal aliensHarshly.
America is filled with cheapo, save a buck types who hire virtual slaves at the expense of fellow Americans.
...and don't hand me the nonsense about them filling jobs Americans won't do otherwise.
In my line of work I see plenty of carpenters, masons, bricklayers from south of the border. Tons.

Many would have us believe that these folks are merely filling jobs picking orchards and landscaping.
I work in a field where I see many skilled trades being filled by these people. Skilled trades mind you......and it makes me more angry when I hear the foreman speaking Spanish to them.
I think option two is the most feasible......well, maybe most effective. Don't count on it though. Democrats like cheap voters, and Republicans like cheap labor.
Which means your average American tradesman is getting screwed (pardon my English......or is that Ingles).
Fortunately, my boss is an extremely patriotic type who doesn't stoop to save-a-bucko-hire-an-illegal-Mexican.

Where do I vote for this??? Can I vote like a democrat or do I only get one vote?

Muchas gracias for the correction -- it's been a long time since my junior high spanish class!

One trouble with a guest worker program is that it is probably unworkable without a nearly foolproof national ID card. Guest workers throughout history have a nasty reputation for never leaving and putting our current leadership in charge of enforcing guest worker laws is like putting a junkie in charge of the police evidence room.

"His point is that these illegals are need to replace those dead babies."
An advanced economy has little use for 10s of millions of unskilled, uneducated, and illiterate labor. These illegals are and will continue to be a burden on the productive citizens, so they argument that we need them to prop up our economy doesn't wash.
To: WatchingInAmazement
No, you missed the point. From my post... Black and Hispanic women have higher rates of abortion than non-Hispanic whites, the report states. What has that to do with the fact that there aren't enough babies being left alive to fill all our jobs 30 years down the road?
I am not advocating the position that we need these illegals - I was only trying to clarify the other poster's point.
Once again - the argument isn't about who aborts how many - his point was that since we ARE aborting babies, we will have a labor shortage in the future.
The fact that Hispanics may have high abortion rates has nothing to do with his point.

Don't get me wrong - I am certainly not advocating the position that we need illegals to replace our workers. I was only trying to clarify the poster's point who made that statement. I'm not agreeing with it - I was just commenting on it.
My personal opinion is that anyone in this country illegal should be rounded up and sent home.
We need to handle foreign workers the same way Canada does.

5. Establish a guest worker program. One big hole: anchor babies.
No hole at all. Allow the worker to come in, if they have a baby it does NOT become a US citizen, and it goes back to Mexico when the workers term is over.
That clause could easily be written into the guest worker agreement.

Neal Boortz is spot on. The illegals don't deserve to be here, and some small businesses can't hire at rates that attract Americans these days.

If President Bush fails to veto the immigration / amnesty bill put him right up there on the Wall of Shame with Jimmy Carter. He will sign the bill, and he won't be put on the wall of shame, he wanted this bill all along.
