I think maybe we should all give it up and go with the flow, or better yet - milk the flow. We can retire as millionaires in the next couple of months by selling bottles of water for $3.95 in the desert areas along the border. ¡Viva la inundación!

That'll be a real deterrent to further illegal immigration won't it !
As one who did it legally I feel insulted.

Democrats have been fairly unified behind the principle that the illegals currently in the country should get citizenship rights without having to first leave the country actually become citizens.

Democrats in both chambers say they will start with some form of legislation first drafted by Sens. John McCain, Arizona Republican, and Edward M. Kennedy, Massachusetts Democrat Does it include $50 / hour lettuce picking jobs for American workers?

They could all come in and immediately goes on SSI. They don't have US birth certificates, so they could all say they were 65.

"Immigration Reform"?
If the left was against this it would be "racist oppression".

As soon as they're Americans, they'll stop doing the jobs American won't do, right?

Well, it was a nice experiment in individualism and small-government while it lasted. We proved that it works and is a path to success. Maybe some other nation will give it a try someday. Until then, maybe my future generations should find a nice Carribean Island somewhere.

I wonder why they even bother? Just do nothing, instead of making it worse. Once they get legal, they will just demand what most Americans get for pay. They aren't going to work for illegal pay anymore. You know, they do jobs we won't. What makes anyone think when they are legal they will?

If this passes it will be the end of America as we know it.
It amazes me that Congress would vote for something that a majority of us are against.
Maybe the Second American Revolution is closer than I thought. Except this time it won't be "Taxation without representation," it will be "Life in general without representation."

Looks like Bush will get what he wants :-/
I don't know why he and other Republicans wanted what is basically an amnesty (we can call it whatever the hell we want to, but it's still an amnesty). Do they think perhaps these people will vote Republican in the future???
