it's should not be about color its just wrong. What should be done is they should get jumped by people of all colors. Then they can only blame themselves
Well, at least we know it wasn't a hate crime. Black-on-white crime never is, ya know.
the problem is the fact they were young and dumb not the fact they were black.anyone is capable of doing this, and to answer hate with more hate just pushes us backwards as a country.why not take after the amish and forgive EVERY TIME no matter wich race was at fault.
I'm not, and nobody I know is.
Bump
There is something a little odd about college aged kids going out trick or treating...even in a very white upper class neighborhood
They weren't trick or treating...they were going to the haunted house, a friend was meeting them there to all go to a party afterward.
This wasn't a hate crime, it was a ZEBRA beating.
What's bothering you?
I have kids that age. In this part of the world, just going to the grocery store can be perilous...(and I ain't a paranoid).
And if you think your qualifiying remark about a "haunted house" makes everything "OK", then you may need some adult counseling. All that "Halloween stuff" is for children, as a general way of celebration.
Besides, what difference does whatever I think make in the scheme of things? I merely stated an opinion.
This tragic situation occured months ago. Why are you even thinking about it? Other things of more importance have the worlds attention these days...like Iran massing military troops along the Iraq border, threatening war.
If things like what we said months ago bother you, maybe you could find an adult person to talk things over with. Or start helping others who may need to share their concerns with someone. Turning away from your own fears or worries to help others is a wonderful source of peace and gratification.
I hope you find peace...and please don't plan on trick or treating any time soon, OK?
That's the problem right there. After the lawyers went ahead and violated the judges order, they shold have been held in contempt.
I keep thinking I should get a concealed carry permit. The only reason I haven't is that I would be admitting to myself that society has finally gone into the sewer.
Convictions were handed down today by the judge in the juvenile court - 9 were found guilty (8 girls and 1 boy - ages 12 to 18), one girl acquitted.

Sounds like a good verdict to me.
