If he felt that God had wronged him, he wouldn't be an atheist now would he? Common mistake.
Yeah, I remember that Playboy article...
CA....
Under who's Presidency did this happen under?
In general, yes. The whole point of the Constitution, however, is that some questions are beyond the reach of the majoritarian process, because an elected legislature can run roughshod over the rights of the individual. The Establishment Clause is one such provision. It is irrelevant whether the majority of Americans are Christian. The Establishment Clause prevents the Government from being "Christian."
Get rid of the saying. It was adopted for our money in response to world Communism. We don't need it now.
I didn't say you claimed the contrary, I was just stating that I finally figured out where you stood.
Now you're the one making up claims, I never said I made up any virtues or morals, they exist whether I believe in them or not.
Since you're a moral relativist I can't know your virtues other then what you tell me, inferring them is impossible. So therefore I can't comment on you're earlier comments. As for me, in most areas objectivism is pretty ridigly defined to you can predict mine.
I know, I loved what he had to say on the Bill of Rights. I think I would agree if I didn't have the hindsight that we all do.
I agree. I don't know if the coins will take off, but they're far better than most of the new coins I've seen.
That's right. Thanks to the 17th Amendment, our Senate is more subject to popular passion, just like the House. And the electoral college is now mostly just a state-by-state sounding board on which presidential candidate got the most votes in each state. Then there are the referenda, which are sometimes good for us, but how can you expect asinine politicians to get tossed out on their fat asses like they deserve, when you can undo their worst with referenda? And California has so many referenda each election that the voters guide must look like a friggin' phone book! Democracy isn't all it's cracked up to be!
You mean a constitutional republic. The "majority" rule is subservient to the Constitution.
I wouldn't wear the AIDS ribbon, either. AIDS can be controlled mostly by keeping certain parts of your personal anatomy under your clothing.
Who gives a damn? The coins look great. They made a good design decision to make the images large and dramatic, and put the text on the side.
What, you won't wear the AIDS ribbon? You must wear the AIDS ribbon.
Hey, everyone, he won't wear the AIDS ribbon.
(apologies if you're not a "Seinfeld" fan)
Remember, when setting bait, don't push the hook through your finger.
You never made any claims, huh? You don't know anything about me or what I believe. Your the one who claims that you have your own set of virtues, which don't conform to most of the rest of this nation. Which means that you can make any claim you wish, and adhere to any moral you decide upon without consideration of what the rest of society has accepted as right and appropriate. Talk about moral relativism. And, now you are yesterday's news.
Right-o, SoldierDad.
Is your name Newdow? :)
Okay, so you improved my comment. Thanks for the clarification of his position.
Mine was the 'cliff notes' version (g)
