We haven't had a smart, fearless and effective leader in the White House since Ronald Reagan. Both Bush 1 & 2 are lightweights; they are managers, not leaders. Clinton was, well, a self-absorbed, sex crazed clown of a man. Leadership is everything, and right now we don't have much of that.

I can't argue with your assessment. Condi is supposed to be the expert on Russia, but somehow it seems to me everyone is burying their head in the sand hoping the "problem" will go away.
