I went on up to the Audubon Zoo
And they only asked for you
They all asked for you
Well, even inquired about you
I went on up to the Audu'mon Zoo
And they all asked for you
The monkey's asked
The tiger's asked
And the elephant asked f'you, too

The piece described raucous and impolite behavior at a nearby Taco Bell: "When I go to Taco Bell, I want to go to a restaurant, NOT A ZOO! Stop acting like animals... behave and clean up after yourself." The writer said most of the crowd was black and described the students as stupid, rude, immature and insensitive. My AP alarm was instantly set off. Notice how the first sentence actually quotes the editorial itself then in the second sentence merely describes what was said. Therefore one cannot even read the direct quote with the "monkey" reference and, therefore, cannot see the written accusations in their full context. Could it be that the writer stated something to the effect of, "...while most were black all were acting like a bunch of monkeys."?

This is the key point. If the AP is actually calling for "disciplinary actions", they should at least have the guts to show us the line equating blacks to monkeys.
But they don't. Which suggests to me a manufactured controversy. Such cowards.

They are easily offended because the truth hurts.
