He'll be selling the mega mega food chopper on TV in the near future.

He does nothing but hawk himself as some kind of financial wizzard. Never mind that he has to constantly refinance his failures. Lucky for him Daddy made lots of money to give him a start.

"Look at this guy Rumsfeld," Trump said. "Millions of people have been killed.
Look at this guy Trump. Where does he get his information from? He listens to people who make their living talking about how people who had to act on their first guess should have done what they now think is their second guess. And so he thinks that everything has gone wrong, and millions of people were killed because of Rumsfeld.

Here's a clue, Mr. Trump. Rumsfeld could have killed millions of people in Iraq, if that had been what he wanted to do. But his mission in Iraq was to take control of the country and of Saddam and his henchmen in particular. That didn't require him to try to kill millions, and the likely casualty total for the Iraq war (both sides) is probably 100,000 or fewer, killed. More likely 50,000 - or fewer. We don't know - but "millions killed" does not lie within the realm of reasonable possibility. We nuked Japan because we feared that otherwise it would cost one million American lives to conquer the country that attacked us less savagely than we were attacked on 9/11.

Mr. Trump, you have listened to Big Journalism and its acolytes when you should have been listening to the US military. You say that the US military has a motive to lie? Sure they do. They have motive but they do not have opportunity to lie and get away with it. They know beyond peradventure that the truth will find them out if they lie.

OTOH it is obvious that the critics of the military have the opportunity to lie and get away with it. Anyone with one eye half open knows the Big Journalism emphasizes the bad news - and

Half the truth is often a great lie. - Benjamin Franklin
The absence of the good news - what the military does in Iraq which is praiseworthy - is the lie which you know journalism is telling.

Big Journalism not only obviously has the opportunity but - since criticizing others is the only way to promote yourself if all you do is talk, without making decisions and putting your money where your mouth is - Big Journalism has the motive. The fact that you haven't noticed that does not speak well of you.

I don't care if she's lovely. I want someone who can go and make deals. She goes to countries and nothing ever happens except sound bites

This part is absolutely true. Deals are the job of a diplomat. The millions dead thing is b.s. The arms and legs been wasted statement is partially true, we havent and it doesnt look like we are going to commit to defeated our enemies there. Either defeat the enemy where they stand, back out of the country, or move to bases outside the major cities and let the Iraqis try to sort it out. As long as Sadr and the other militant leaders are allowed to live, the tactics we are using are a waste of arms and legs, lives and money.

"They are fighting a better cause.."

They are fighting and dying so that clowns like Trump can make their billions without having to fork them over to Imams. Hey Trump, what will you do when our heroes stop protecting your miserable ass?

Trump should shut up and deal with real estate and TV shows. Who would he have Condi "make deals" with? The Islamists???

This guy Trump, for all his proclaimed business genius, is the only one who could run a casino into bankruptcy.

Absolutely. Did you ever hear this guy "tawk?" He sounds like an idiot, and uses the word "amazing" in every other sentence. The only time I turn off Imus in the morning is when he has Trump the Narcissist on.

Trump is Bland.

On his last "Apprentice" TV show, the winning team of that week's task had, as their "reward," a trip to Washington, D.C. and lunch with the Donald's good friend, Chuck Schumer...some reward! I would have thrown up all over him.

"Rummy was an excellent SecDef,.."

That's where I disagree with you.

He should have pursued the war against terrorism more vigorously. The concept of total war was never applied. What a difference with Europe in WWII where we wasted the continent. Look at some pictures of beautiful cathedrals that were totally destroyed and compare them with the ugly mosques that remain standing.

You either fight a war or sue for peace. You either $hit or get off the pot.

Yes leaving Sadr and the other militant leaders alive sends a signal that we are not committed to defeating our enemies. It is simular to taking over Iraq but leaving Saddam alone.

Trump is not an REP. or DEM; he is from the Aristocrat Party.

THEY run the country, not us peons.

Well, I think Rice and Rumsfeld are both competent, intelligent people. I believe the problem lies not with them, but with the person they report to, with respect to flaws in policy issues.

Is that you, Jack Murtha?

The difference between myself and Murtha is this:

Murtha wants to withdraw all the US forces from Iraq immediately, if not sooner, come hell or high water, or regardless of the situation on the ground.

My solution (yes, it does have a sort of political component) is to say ....

OK, we expect to have between 10-20-percent our troops OUT of Iraq by the end of 2007.

And another 10-20 percent gone by 2008, and another 20 percent by 2009, etc etc..

GWB could then add the addendum that "We reserve the absolute right to change (stop the drawdown) if the terror-insurgency gets worst on the ground."

Now, this is really not much different than that already proclaimed by the GWB.

But GWB has adamantly refused to even give so much as a hint of a projected timetable. (which gives the impression of an endless war, with endless casualties and deaths.)

In other words, I still totally support the Iraq mission, but I also can see a benefit to providing some type of general plan to draw down troops.

And if we have to change and keep or add more troops, SO WHAT. We change plans all the time --- on taxes, on trade agreements, on tariffs, on whatever.

A general timetable would take some wind out of the sails of these desparate terrorists who believe they are doing Allah's bidding.

Also, this solution (WOULD HAVE) shut up the lying 'cut n run' Democrap lib-wimps prior to the '06 elections, and thus could have saved a number of good Republicans from losing to moronic Democrats.

Saying "We must win. We must win" is simply not a plan, and leaves the Bush Admin (rightly) open to ridicule.

I really dont see the awful harm it would have done to provide some sort of general outline, knowing we could simply change later as the situation on the ground changes.

Bottom line: I am still SEETHING about losing my US Senator, Rick Santorum, and my excellent conservative House Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick --- and in effect I blame the GOP and President Bush for their AWFUL campaign strategy this past year.

I definitely do not want to hear criticism of the Administration from a philandering fly-by-night real estate type who dyes his hair AND combs it over - and who is old enough to know better on all counts.
