More than one
Pelosi is getting ready to appoint a disbarred federal judge, Alcee Hastings, to chairman of the intelligence committee. (Apparently already being a crook is now a Dem qualification for election). Why should anyone be shocked that she employs illegal aliens?
If any of these workers were illegal last night, I am sure they will wake up to find a green card under their pillow..
What was Pelosi's family political history--before she was Pelosi?
just got back from a (too-short) vacation in napa.
agree - seriously need a fact-finding junket to return, for several weeks' research, at least.
I think her dad might have been a mayor somewhere.
excellent, doug. bump
Teams of illegals work in almost every vineyard owned or contracting with a large winery in Napa and Sonoma Valleys, especially during the harvest. But you will see lots of them during the pruning time in mid winter too.
I have to say though that there are quite a few small family run and operated vineyard /wineries that do most of their own work.
someone said her suits costs about 5,000 a piece. Heck all my clothes and my hubbies aren't worth that!
Hell, my car is not worth that much.
No matter what the others do, the Speaker of the House should not hire illegal aliens.
I don't see Pelosi going easily. BTW, she didn't serve in Vietnam but she's a grandma. Remember that!
And a woman drowned in Kennedy's car.
No matter, they have Democratic immunity.
This somewhat tinfoil page raises the additional possibility that her vineyards (she owns/owned two) could have been used to hide payments to her:

That is, someone who wanted to give her money could have paid an inflated price for her grapes. Her disclosure forms only list a range of income for the vineyards, not exact totals.
That needs to be confirmed before making claims, but there's no reason why you can't suggest it be looked into.
Most absentee owners use vineyard management companies that handle labor and labor compliance matters. If Melanie has more specific information about Pelosi's labor practices at her vineyard, I haven't read about it here yet.
Not really! Weighted average for Napa cabernet sauvignon for 2005 was $3,797.63 per ton.
You can read it yourself at the California Grape Crush Report.
folks need to read this....BTTT
For sure!!
