The highest approval rating of Clinton, I ever saw, was around 43%.

In what fantasy land of rainbows and butterflies did you reside during the Clinton Era?

So I guess a third term is out of the question, huh?

Ain't that just like a bunch of Commie "media" 'RATS. As if winning the election wasn't enough, they still feel the need to continue kicking the President in the head. Screw the lowlife, Commie bass turds.

Looks like he will lose re-election in '08.

~LOL~ he probably gained with the libs and dropped among some conservatives when he announced Rummy was leaving the day after the election -- after he had stated just days prior to the election Rummy was there for the duration... only to take an even larger hit with it was announced he was anxious to work with the dems to pass immingration reform (aka amnesty)...

He's not down with me . . . BTW: There are many ways to fight an enemy, particularly internal enemies!

The whole purpose of the Democrat media is to make sure we are out of Iraq before 2008.

That, plus they want Bush impeached. They'll bite their tongues for now while the post-election happy-talk goes on, but soon they'll demand to see some action on that front. They know that right now there's not enough support from the public for impeachment, so they'll try to drum up that support by pounding Bush completely into the ground. Once they can start pushing polls that show his approval in the mid-20's, the impeachment talk will start for real.

If it's McCain you can rest assured a word won't be uttered about Clinton's failures on security.... heck, Nancy Pelosi already stated this week that this isn't a war, it's a "situation." Did you see even one Republican come out and criticize her comment?

"When he reaches zero in these polls will he have to leave office."

From what I've seen on some FR threads today, a 0% approval rating is a distinct possibility. Soon he may be more popular with Democrats than conservatives.

RONALD REAGAN AND HIS '6th YEAR' DEFEAT IN 1986

In 1986, Ronald Reagan and the GOP suffered HORRIBLE electoral losses:

8 SENATE SEATS
Moving the GOP from the majority (53-47 +6) to the minority (55-45 -10) . . . [At worst, GWB will face a 49-51 (-2) minority -- and that -2 will include a very GWB-leaning Independent!!]

5 CONGRESSIONAL SEATS
Giving the Democrats an even wider margin in the House
from a 253-182 (+71) majority to a 258-177 (+81) majority! . . . [It appears that GWB/the GOP will endure a much smaller (+30ishD) majority!]

Why did Reagan suffer such devastating losses in 1986?

Like President Bush, he just wasn't able to avoid the '6th' year hex! First there was Bork, then Reykjavik, then the election losses, then Iran-Contra, and then an historic 23-POINT DROP IN HIS JA RATING in just one month -- AND GUESS WHAT: THE UBER CONSERVATIVES DESERTED HIM IN DROVES [FYI: These are the same uber conservatives who today use a bastardized version of the Reagan legacy as a weapon with which to bash President Bush -- what a bunch of soul-less losers!] . . .

I'm off to watch the re-broadcast (C-Span) of today's Veterans Day Ceremony -- just in case you're wondering, the vets gave President Bush an ENTHUSIASTIC AND SUSTAINED STANDING OVATION both before and after his speech!
