Being a Neo-Con Zionist young Reform Jewish Republican I think I understand. Most Jews in this country are Reform, meaning that their religion aligns with their politics. Being very non-religious I am sort of unusual. If you look at the old Communist/Socialist revolutionaries(The Rosenbergs, Trotsky, David Horowitz and what he used to be and his parents) you will find plenty of Jews because that used to be the intellectual spring. Howard Zinn and Chomsky are Jews also, yet if you look at the semi-Jewish Karl Marx you will find an economic theory similar to the Quarter Jewish Hitler and the Jewish Chomsky, meaning in fact that there is a self-destructive mechanism within much of my religion.

Here are reasons why Jews vote Democrat usually and why they voted in 2006
1. Most Jews are Liberals
2. Fear of Christians(I know two people who voted Democrat in 2004 because of that irrational fear)
3. That it wasn't national
4. Because even Jewish Dems love Israel
5. The stereotype that Jews have "compassion" which is why there are so many Jewish Defense or Protection of enemy lawyers
6. Early American discrimination
7. Being one of the smallest minorities in America
8. FDR and his WWII fight into
(what also is interesting is not only did many of the first Labor Unions exclude Jews but also that Jews are even more loyal to Democrats than blacks, the most a Republican got in an election from the Jewish people is 50% which was Eisenhower, a time when the NYT and the WP endorsed him)
9. Robert Kennedy and Harry Truman and the old Democrat
10. The stereotype that Jews are rich(my theory is that the more one person has, the more Liberal they become)
11. Also that many Jews went into the Arts and want to provoke iconoclasticism within societies, now that second thing isn't Liberal by default but it sort of shows a mere likeness to the Alt. conventions of Liberalism.

I can also tell you, in many reasons, why Liberals hate Jews

Personally I think that even if they are the minority probably most beneficial to the GOP, they will still walk in a lockstep brainwash like so many other minority groups, Liberalism clinging from the veins.

I know that my grandparents on both sides were or are all Republican, my grandmother and grandfather used to be Democrats, on my dad's side, during the 60s until all hell broke loose. My father used to be a Democrat until he believed in an intellectual dishonesty and now is a Neo-Isolationist Libertarian Republican, whereas my mom is a Neo-Conservative Moderate yet very loyal Republican and while my mom is against guns(one of the reasons, possibly, why Jews can be so Liberal) she is for National Defense and is a diehard partisan on Iraq, my dad is the opposite. Personally for me it is slightly about Israel but it is also the envy and the rabid Anti-Semitism in the Left.

Jews in Name Only

So, if some Jewish guy was a liberal Republican, we could call him a JINO RINO.

American Jews are much more likely to be upset because some small southern town has a nativity in a city park..

Ironically, that "nativity scene" is simply a small Jewish town in Israel, with a Jewish woman and a Jewish husband giving birth to a Jewish Son.

Sometimes I think that American Christians care more about the future of Israel ...

From the "Mysteries of Life" series; an in-depth look at puzzling facts, by National Geographic.

1)Why do Swallows return to Capastrono at exactly the same time every year?

2)What causes the north and south poles to switch places every 10 million years?

3)How can fish survive three miles deep under the ocean?

4)Why do American Jews continue to vote Democratic?

Frankly, he didn't trust anyone except other Jews, since they were the only people who ever helped him. So, I could understand his mistrust. On the other hand, many of today's "Jewish leaders" use that as a bludgeon to help promote their leftist agenda.

Thank you for setting the "records" straight!

Now apparently the Jewish people have forgotten how we treated them in Denmark during WWII!!

If they had mistrust us most of them would also have winded up in the Holocaust instead of being saved by being smuggled over the waters into Sweden!!!

Perhaps if Bush had fired this incompetent Arab stooge (Condi Rice) Jews would have felt a bit better.

Your description of Rice is laughable, considering the strong support she gives Israel and the condemnation she heaps on Hezbollah and Hamas nearly every time she speaks their putrid names.

Besides, the idea of a Palestinian state has been pushed and promoted for decades.

Furthermore, the Palestinian state concept is (was) not something being forced on Israel. It is almost entirely of Israel's doing that the possibility of such a state has moved as far foreward as it has.

Lastly, neither Rice or any other (Republican) US admistration would ever give approval to a Palistinian state unless and until (Rice knows this will never happen) the Palestinians do a complete about face and accept Israel, its people, its borders, and its right to exist.

So please, calm down already.

Palosi will be the most Pro-Israel Speaker in history.

I never heard Newt Gingrich say one bad thing about Israel, or push one piece of legislation that would have been harmful to Israel.

If you know of one, please let me know.

Israel has much to fear from the Bush/Rice/Baker Arabist Administration

What cabinet position does Baker hold?

Secondly, I haven't heard one pundit, one country, one newscaster, or one anything say anything BUT the fact that the Bush Administration is perhaps the most enthusiastic supporter of Israel in American history, bar none.

In fact, the European countries constantly complain that the Bush Administration is too closely aligned with Israel.

Just yesterday, in fact, the Bush Administration under the excellent leadership of John Bolton VETOED a new condemnation of ISRAEL for last week's retaliatory missile attack on Gaza, because the Pali's once again were lobbing mortars into Israel proper.

So puhleeze, stop with these biting accusations that Bush/Rice is an Arabist force working against Israel.

But leftist Jews are more frightened that Christians will try to convert them!

So true.

My Jewish bud at work goes absolutely apopletic at what he considers to be a tyranical religious dictator (guess who?)..... President GWB, who he swears is gonna force all Americans to convert to Christianity, especially the Jews.

Where he gets these paranoid ideas I just cant figure.

All I know is he seems smart otherwise.

Historically, the Jews were discriminated against by the old Northern establishment Republicans.

I dont know what country clubs you've been visiting, but I cannot recall any "old Northern establishment Republicans" who excluded Jews.

You could easily make that case about the Southern Democrats of old, and the Southern Democrats of today.

Or the left wing college campus's, every Democratic-leaning one of which drips derision and hatred for Israel and the Jews, even though many professors are Jewish.

Or do you recall the blame W.Virginia Rep. (Dem) Jim Moran put on Israel for the world's ills not too long ago.

And dont get me started about the die-hard union Democrats, whom continue to this day to resent and disparage Jews, especially rich Jews.

Condi Rice called the creation of a Pali state "America's greatest legacy". That statement is disgraceful.

Search high and low and you will never find where I ever wrote that Gingrich was not very pro Israel. Yet no two people are equal.

Intellectually and honestly, Gingrich was maybe the only really strong supporter of Israel to have ever been speaker. Up to now.

But emotion trumps intellect in such criteria and when Pelosi becomes Speaker she will become the most pro Israel speaker ever.

That's not to say that being a Liberal she may not misunderstand between what is good for Israel and what is bad. But then in the past year I have also heard Gingrich say some things to do vis a vis Israel that I think bad ideas.

In sum, your question to me, and its tone, had no justification and I stand by what I wrote.

You obviously don't read enough.

Even worse, you don't comprehend.

If you never heard it before, remember this moment as where you heard it first. It will get louder in the next couple of years.

Bush/Rice are hostile to Israel. For proof read many threads on FreeRepublic. But first remove the blinders.

It certainly is.

But actions speak louder than words.

American Presidents and administration officials often say things which are designed for "foreign" consumption.

Heck, look at the smoochy smoochy love-fest between Slickster and Arafat, or Carter's walk in the park with the same cretin.
