They couldn't tell the worst fake foreign accent since Andy Kaufmann's "Latka Gravas" wasn't real? They deserved what they got. Case dismissed.
I don't have HBO and actually never heard of the show until I just googled it. What did Pat Buchanan do on the show?
Bob Barr didn't say anything racist, what was funny was his reaction to Borat. The humor coach didn't come off as a racist either. However, with very little coaxing the rodeo promoter tells him to shave his mustache to look less Arabian and that we are trying to pass laws to kill homosexuals. Not everyone comes off as racist just those who thnk they can get away with it because the footage won't be seen in America.
A lot of these off the wall comments arise from the alcohol.
I have heard perfectly reasonable "conservatives"go on a Mel Gibson type anti-Semitic rant after a few drinks.
And,on the other end of the spectrum,have heard many a respectable middle class liberal sound like Che Guevara and Mao after a few glasses of wine.
How do they REALLY feel?It disturbs me to speculate.

You nailed it Jorday, I saw the movie, and it was obvious he was pretending to be peoples friend when he REALLY wasn't. The villagers are suing him also. He pissed all over them. Some people just don't know when they are being insulted. THAT is a big part of his humor.
The part I remember, Ali G asked Pat if it was worth going to war based on "whether or not they had BLT?" Pat didn't get ruffled...

I followed the link in #90. The movie sounds gross with men having sex with each other.
