I was thinking today, what is the gap between great leaders? It's been over 20 years since Reagan emerged from nowhere. We desperately need a conservative leader to emerge. Newt had it, but blew it. What we need to do now is focus and make sure we recognize our next leader. We also need you to kick the pups in the shorts and keep them in line. Along with many on FR, we can now all give them guidance on the last time they blew it.
I am optimistic. Power corrupts. Absolute power, absolutely corrupts. Balance of power purifies the debate. Gorbachev told Reagan: "We shall deny you the benefit of having an enemy." Free markets all a hallmark of conservatism. Conservatives now have competition with a voice, we will emerge stronger than ever.
Great post. Thank you.
Despite all the amnesty talk I believe we're already past the tipping point. The Republicans goose is cooked.
saveliberty...keep this link around for another day. Bloggers galore will expose this tramp and her minions for who they are...
This is an absurd prediction. Does he really think its going to be smooth sailing for Dems? They'll be lucky if they don't destroy their own party in one year. Two factions will be warring before long: the Soros sponsored radicals with their residual 60's minset still intact versus the Clintinoid opportunists who understand that this country is still fairly conservative and that the election was not a mandate for wild-eyed liberal policies. One wants revenge, the other longevity. They can't have it both ways.
