Time for the Republican Insurgency to teach the Democrats what a REAL quagmire looks like But will they? I don't know MNJ, if the past 6 years has given me any clue.
To: MaestroLC
I would only correct that to say "Big Government Republicanism".

Me to, and I'm surprised as well. Sometimes you need the time to step back and really survey the situation before you can make a good judgment on events. This is just such a case. We must get back to our Conservative roots, and today this very moment is not too soon. The election of 2008 starts today folks. We have two years to show a clear distinction between a more Conservative, fiscally and socially, Republican Party and the socialist demoncrat party. It's an opportunity folks, and one that we should dedicate ourselves to starting today! Bravo!!!! I couldn't have said it better. This is more an opportunity to get the train back on the tracks then it is a train wreck.

Except there are still nearly a dozen RINOs in the Senate, which is now a quarter of the Republicans in the Senate. We lost three solid conservatives last night. No up side to that.

It would help if you did not spend all your time shooting at your own side and helping the Democrat Propaganda Machine. Searching for new excuses for your fundamental political incompetence
Stupid.

He's making much out of the fact that "conservative Democrats," like Webb won. He doesn't mention, of course, that nearly all of these were antiwar conservatives. As usual, he is spinning this and avoiding the key issue. Is Rush recommending tha the GOP run antiwar conservatives like Ron Paul and Chuck Hagel? Don't think so.....though that is the logic of his point.
To: LibertyisSpecial
I just don't buy the 'conservatives won' stuff. If that's the case, why was my senator Santorum beaten so soundly? He's one of the most conservative guys in the party.
To: quidnunc
That's why the imagery of Rush imitating Fox hurt us. Fox was not "revealed" because more people saw the image of Rush "making fun" of him and Fox went on to stump for Dems.
To: MNJohnnie
Sorry Rush, but that is too much of a generalization. Murtha is but one example that disproves your theory.

Unfortunatly, the GOP didn't.
I don't know that I would agree with "unfortunately".
