I'm not liking the tone of this "Rumsfeld and I agree this would be time for a change".
Bush tossed him under the bus.
its going to be a very long 2 years. very long.
To: COEXERJ145
This is BS. Bush threw Rummy under the bus, period.

The Democrats do not have the votes in the Senate for conviction So what. Democrats don't need the Senate to indict him. Remember "the impeached one, BJ Clinton"?
To: areafiftyone
Maybe that was the deal... Rumsfeld for no impeachment.

The Democrats do not have the votes in the Senate for conviction. Neither did we, but that did't stop us, did it?

I disagree...he is at least not ending every sentence so tha it sounds like a question.

I'm not one to get upset over election results, and not even Nancy Pelosi as Madame Speaker can get me down, but this is a different story. I'm confused and quite irritated - what on EARTH can they expect to gain by throwing Rumsfeld under the bus? He was the best thing about Bush's administration, imo. This makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever.
Ah well, one step closer to Armageddon...
