At least my county (or, the 1 precinct reporting so far) has gone in favor of the Repub., Pawlenty, for Governor, and the Republican in our state senate race.
Klobuchar won big here. I just can't understand it. Do people pay ANY attention to what these candidates and the Dems in general actually believe in and stand for, or do they just go by name recognition and Klobuchar's massive knockers and tight sweaters on the campaign trail?!?!
My county is a blue-collar, Christian, gun-owning, deer-hunting county!! WHAT IN THE BLOODY HELL IS GOING ON HERE?!?!?!

Clinton and HillaryCare gave us the first Republican house in 40 years. Clinton was also a gift. Even with a slightly Democrat House, we are still much stronger than in 1992 when Clinton entered office.
If the party returns to controlled spending policies, they will gain these seats back and more. The House leaders have grown a bit fat. Low taxes and controlling government spending is the issue that brings moderates into the fold.
In his victory speech, Lieberman thanked the Lord and used a biblical quote, and the cheering suddenly disappeared... He also said (although I don't think for a moment that he truly meant it) that he would go back to Washington beholden to no political party, and that also was received a bit like a lead balloon...

When they passed anti-smoking lawsin Austin I (1) bought a pipe (I'm allergic to smoke) and (2) 6 months later I moved outside of the city limits.

And I keep replying why this doesn't happen. Many reasons but some are because the money mongering elites don't want it as it is not in their interest. They want the Fed Reserve, the manipulation of sending us to a political correct war & lose it so as the make that same enemy more embolden yrs later & continue the cycle. They want the public schools kept as they are so as not to create younger people to compete with their private schooling. An entity could make billions with a true conservative network & yet not anyone will attempt it.
