I love Tony Snow. He always has a great comeback for these lying leeches of the left.
The news for the last few weeks has been a constant litany of how the Democrats might take back the House or the Democrats might take the Senate. If that wasn't enough to fire up the GOP base before this then the base wasn't fire-uppable.
The GOP base was not immobilized as CBS and the other leftist networks would have us believe.
And Kerry's comment was not a "flap." Kerry has been saying such things for many years. Like all wealthy socialists he hates the military because the military represents national security, patriotism, and love of country.
Democrats cannot talk about their agenda because their agenda is to continue to socialize America. Liberals in both parties are the real enemies of America, not terrorists.
i would bet it is at least 25% of the voting public. The number of people who answer 'undecided' weeks or a few months before presidential elections, or who say the debates will help them decide who to vote for, should be indicative of that. THESE are the people dirty tricks, such as the bush dui leak in 2000 or the attempted use of forged documents in 2004, or even the current time magazine cover (I saw it in the bookstore today, and was amazed they are so brazen with such a negative visual a week before elections), are directed at.
I think he should resign.
I've never trusted anyone who claims to be "undecided," especially this late in a campaign. It's not an indication of independent thought, but an indication of lack of convictions.
For the record, so do I. But his arrogance will not allow him to. So, I'll settle for him stewing in his dead-end job, thinking that he would have been president, if....
"It's not an indication of independent thought, but an indication of lack of convictions."
or arguably in some cases a lack of any basic understanding of the candidates, parties, or issues beyond which party is the donkey and which is the elephant.
There are some frighteningly ignorant citizens out there voting in our elections.
Ah yes, the Nashville Tennessean, otherwise affectionally known as "The Morning Worker", at least when I lived in the area some 20 years ago.
They should be afraid - very afraid! LOL
Good ones, Grampa Dave!
I would agree that's a good way to look at it. I can understand where people would be in the middle.. but I would hope that they would line up their issues on importance and then vote that way.. not vote for superficial reasons like we have discussed.
Let's see if I've got this right - the Republicans are using JFKerry's comments to change the subject from the Iraq war to........Iraq.
Do these newswriters even listen to what they are saying?
