Thanks for the ping. I voted but it looks like the DU'ers have been busy. If the poll goes much more in the DU direction it will be invalidated.

No question Rush Limbaugh is one of the leaders in the current conservative movement, but I don't agree with him on this cheap shot at Fox and I didn't agree with him on his shot at Donovan McNabb a few years back.

P.S. I'm a Patriots fan not Eagles just to make that point clear !!!

Thanks for your participation. We need a few more FReepers to get this thing in better territory.

Is there anything that Rush said about Fox that you thought was wrong? Not "cheap shot" - I'm asking what he said that was wrong? Sounds like he was spot on right - that Fox was manipulating his condition to look extra sympathetic, and Limbaugh called him on it. Fox even admitted to this tactic in his book.

Were you aware of all that? And if so, do you still think it was wrong for Rush to say?

A word to Rush:
Don't you know...

As Rush often says....he knows liberal better than, well, you know!

He knows exactly what he's saying and how the lamestream media will react. He plays them like a fiddle. It's a thing of beauty.

As for the "Fairness Doctrine" or anything else the libs might try to squelch conservative voices. I believe technology will always outpace their ability to shut it down. We will find a way to get the message out.

OK - another improvement in the poll.

Now 81% to 18%

Come on FReepers - we all have a friend or two, right? Or is tonight's crowd the "I don't like people much and prefer to keep to myself" crowd haha! :)

They didn't even report the story accurately. I have no faith whatsoever that the results of this questionnaire will be truthfully reported.

This makes me sick. Either he's an American, or he's not. I supposed he took Am. "dual citizenship" because U.S. taxes are lower than Canada's not because of any particular affection for this land. We should force them all to choose, and not let them have it both ways.

I not only voted with Rush on the poll, I went in and rated the story as a one-star...there...take that MSNBC! And, Rush has up to 20 mil listeners a week, not 10...

Until Conservatives truly start fighting back and calling a spade a spade the dems will continue to beat us up in the public arena.. Rush was exactly right to say what he said. I'd love to hear Ann Coulter's take on this.

No I wasn't aware of the fact Fox was "faking it" and to be honest I'm not a stem cell research supporter. That being said I don't agree with Limbaugh on this one and as I said in the first posting sometimes I think he opens his mouth and inserts his foot !!!

Thanks much! I rated the story 1/2 star (that's as low as I think you can go).

The poll is now even better: 80% to 18%

I am aware that Fox has said he manipulated his meds when he testified at congressional hearings in the past. I am unaware of any such statement regarding this instance. The "choreiform" movements Fox exhibited during the commercial are typical of the side effects of taking the anti-Parkinsonism drugs for many years. If an advanced patient doesn't take his meds, he "freezes up" and can scarcely move. It is extremely difficult to talk when in this condition. But the side effect of the medicine, after many years, is to cause the sort of uncontrollable motions you see in the commercial. Again, this is the effect of taking his meds. Parkinson's is an ugly condition when it's advanced, and Rush definitely took a cheap shot here.

Rush definitely took a cheap shot here.

It was a cheap shot to use a pathetic sick man to make false claim in a political race, and then expect that there can be no criticism of that person.

And besides, if not taking meds makes a parkinson's patient "freeze up", then why did Fox admit to doing such when he testified to Congress?
